Activists in the media are cheering after “journalist” Andrea May Sahouri was acquitted of her role in the mostly peaceful George Floyd riots in Iowa, where two people died. The antisemitic BDS activist claims to have been covering the riots for the Des Moines Register.
Sahouri was not wearing a press badge, and she was with her then-boyfriend Spenser Robnett at the time. But still, the police are being aggressively condemned by Blue Anon for arresting her in the first place.
“This should NEVER happen. Period. Reporters covering stories should not be arrested for doing it,” lamented Playboy’s White House Reporter Brian J. Karem. “In 2020, journalists across the USA provided the world with key reporting on the Black Lives Matter movement and outrageous human rights violations against protesters by the police,” lambasted Amnesty International.
In the wake of her acquittal, the Twitter Blue Check Brigade was in full force (small sample):
Sahouri, who was initially charged with “failure to disperse and interference with official acts,” was on RAIR Foundation USA’s radar previously after she quoted a Communist Party USA member and a representative from the HAMAS-Linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a source for a highly partisan article masquerading as journalism.
The ridiculous, but highly-cited article was about Nicole Poole, a mentally ill woman with a violent criminal history (which included stabbing her black boyfriend in 2017). Poole gained international coverage for deliberately hitting a Hispanic girl and black boy with her vehicle in Iowa. Andrea Sahouri and the rest of the establishment media claimed that Poole was a white supremacist influenced by President Trump, despite her violent history. Nicole Poole has since been deemed incompetent to stand trial.
At the time, both the HAMAS/CAIR and the Communist Party USA representatives pushed for Poole to be charged with a hate crime in Sahouri’s highly partisan article, and both naturally blamed President Trump.
