Canadian military veterans are outraged after a Veteran Affairs Canada (VAC) worker offered medically assisted death to a former soldier struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder and brain injuries.
The combat veteran never raised the issue, nor was he looking for Medical Assistance In Dying (MAID), and was deeply disturbed by the suggestion.

Okay now. As an American veteran of that Southeast Asian misunderstanding of the 1960’s – ’70’s, I do believe that there is one almost universal term used amongst English speaking military men and women that is an applicable word to label the Prime Minister of our Northern neighbor. “F—ER.” After all, it is his and his government’s responsibility to care for those who once cared for them. But maybe ill-care of veterans just runs in that family. Tell us Mr. Prime Minister, what would Dad have done? Fidel? Called Che?
