All political parties in Germany except the conservative Alternative für Deutschland’ (AfD) supported a resolution in the Bundestag (German Parliament) to condemn Israel for “annexing” their own territory, Judea and Samaria. On the floor of the Bundestag, AfD Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Anton Friesen stood firmly with Israel’s strategy supported by US President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan, extending Israeli sovereignty to this area:

The Trump plan, so deeply renounced by the political class in Germany, finally brings movement to the Middle East conflict after years of stagnation and strengthens the prospects for a Palestinian state without endangering the existence of Israel.

Dr. Friesen is a sponsoring member of the Federal Association of Jews in the AfD. Friesen is a Christian, who feels a deep connection to “our Judeo-Christian civilization” and has fought tirelessly against, “the anti-Israeli line of the federal government and the import of Islamic anti-Semitism.”

Dr. Friesen endorsed the plan which applies Israeli civil law over already existing Jewish communities in parts of the West Bank and the Jordan Valley. Israel is trying to recognize the democratic wishes of all people living in these communities, including Palestinians:

Initially for the Palestinians living in this area, this brings good news. They are made equals under Israeli law and can even obtain Israeli citizenship. This means they can consider themselves as lucky in the Arab world as well, since they are some of the few Arabs who can enjoy human and civil rights.

Dr. Friesen praised the Jewish state for protecting their national interest while pursuing peace, unlike Germany who is beholden to the interests of the European Union. “The Jewish state pursues a nationally oriented, realistic policy,” he said approvingly. He continued sarcastically, “How dare they? How can Israel dare do something that is obvious in the national interest of Israel?”

Germany on the other hand, Dr. Friesen said:

….pursues an irrational, virtue fundamentalism which it calls foreign policy. That’s why public opinion and the political class in Germany is so Anti-Israeli. The German opinion-makers and politicians start sweating bullets on their foreheads just from thinking about a policy that represents national interests.

The AfD Member rebuked his fellow parliamentarians as well as Palestine for rejecting President Trump’s Middle East peace plan, which serves as the basis for Israel’s move to claim the sovereignty of their land, as well as prove beneficial for a Palestinian state:

Israel is taking action and using this window of opportunity that Trump’s plan offers. Of course we could stand aside and shout evil, evil, evil! That would be world politics at the kindergarten level. Or we can try to accompany this process with sound judgment and at the same time give new approaches the chance they need.

Dr. Friesen points out that Israel and the United States seem to be the only two countries working toward as a peaceful solution:

I wonder where the Palestinian proposals for a peace plan are? Of course you can oppose it, you can block it and reject everything, but where are the proposals from the Arab world? From Palestine? From the Palestinians themselves?

Watch RAIR Foundation USA’s exclusively-translated speech by AfD Member of Parliament (MP) Dr. Anton Friesen:

German Jews continue to embrace the AfD while the left-wing parties continue to support dangerous antisemitic policies towards German Jews and Israel.

As previously reported at RAIR:

“The AfD is the only classical European party on the German political spectrum. They are family oriented, want secure borders, and believe in the preservation of the nation state of Germany, much as President Trump does of America. Both the AfD and President Trump’s domestic and foreign policies make the world a safer place for Jews.”

Dr. Anton Friesen.

Mr. President, ladies and gentlemen deputies, dear citizens.

Well, Mr. Foreign Minister, you neglected to say the most important thing. Namely, that
within the European Union, up until now there has been absolutely no consensus on a policy
towards Israel.

There is none. Plain and simple. We’ll have to see whether Germany manages to establish one
within the framework of the European Council Presidency.

That’s precisely the difference between Germany and Israel.

The Jewish state pursues a nationally oriented, realistic policy. Germany pursues an irrational,
virtue fundamentalism which it calls foreign policy. That’s why public opinion and the political
class in Germany is so Anti-Israeli.

The German opinion-makers and politicians start sweating bullets on their foreheads just from
thinking about a policy that represents national interests.

How dare they? How can Israel dare to do something that is so obviously in the national interest
of Israel?

The so-called West Bank, or Judea and Samaria, consists of three areas A, B and C according
to the Oslo treaties. Israel has now decided, in a non-partisan consensus,
both by Benjamin Netanyahu and by those who supported it, to apply Israeli civil law to area C,
which has been administered by the Israeli military administration since the Six Day War.

Initially for the Palestinians living in this area, this brings good news.
They are made equals under Israeli law and can even obtain Israeli citizenship.
his means they can consider themselves as lucky in the Arab world as well, since they are some
of the few Arabs who can enjoy human and civil rights.

Even better, the Trump plan, so deeply renounced by the political class in Germany,
finally brings movement to the Middle East conflict after years of stagnation and strengthens
the prospects for a Palestinian state without endangering the existence of Israel.

According to the Trump plan, the city is to be built on about 70 percent of the territory of
Judea and Samaria.

Many Arab states haven’t been loudly and publicly opposed to this plan, as alleged by some,
but have been very sympathetic to it. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and even
Jordan.

None have really taken a strong public stand against it. The only ones who have taken a clear
stand against it are the Palestinian leadership. Obviously they are afraid
of losing your rich profits from the EU and Germany.

I wonder where the Palestinian proposals for a peace plan are?

Of course you can oppose it, you can block it and reject everything, but where are the proposals
from the Arab world? From Palestine? From the Palestinians themselves?

There is one! —

Israel is taking action and using this window of opportunity that Trump’s plan offers.

Of course we could stand aside and shout evil, evil, evil! hat would be world politics at
the kindergarten level.

Or we can try to accompany this process with sound judgment and at the same time give new
approaches the chance they need.

As well as and gladly in the context of an entire Middle East conference for security
and cooperation. As we’ve proposed.

Thank you very much.

So, now for the CDU/CSU faction, Colleague Jürgen Hardt has the floor.
