The Cultural Enrichment of Cartagena includes welcoming not only dangerous migrants but the Mafia!
Cartagena is a city in southeastern Spain on the Mediterranean coast. This Spanish coastal town is a popular invasion destination for migrants (illegals with values and ambitions that are in staunch opposition to Western values and law) sailing across the Mediterranean from the African continent.
The vice mayor, Noelia Arroyo of the City of Cartagena has warned by allowing the illegal immigrants to be released onto the city streets they are sending a dangerous message to the mafias, “with the arrival of the launches, Cartagena could be converted into a mafia target.“
Arroyo has pleaded with the Government for more information and greater collaboration with the City Council to respond to this overwhelming crisis & protect her city.

A new wave of launches this weekend from the coast of Cartagena. The Civil Guard and Marine Rescue and Frontex [French] patrols have intercepted about 20 launches with some 500 immigrants on board.
According to a report from a government office, the national police are expediting the procedures to deliver these people as soon as possible to NGO reception centers. It has been an intense weekend. State security forces located boats close to the coast of Cartagena early Saturday morning.
For the space of two days there has been a continuous flow. Eighteen launches with almost 200 people on board. Some were transferred to the port of Santa Lucia. Others, located in front of Cabo de Palos, and two at the limit of the waters of Algeria. In one of them two minors, one woman and one baby were traveling.
The government representative recalled the magnitude of the state mechanism in collaboration with other social organizations to confront this humanitarian drama. He insisted that all the immigrants who arrived in recent hours will be transferred to different reception centers or taken by NGOs.
Francisco Jimenez informed us that that the national police are expediting the procedures that form part of the national reception system. And the vice mayor, Noella Arroyo, has advised that it is a political error, and with the arrival of the launches, Cartagena could be converted into a mafia target.
On one side, what we know is there are immigrants who are arriving on our coasts in launches, and that they are leaving them in the streets, and on the other hand, the data and the numbers that they offering don’t add up. Because of that we say the obligation of the government is to provide us with information. We have offered them institutional collaboration, absolute institutional loyalty to also put in motion our municipal social network. We have asked that the reception protocol be activated. And what we want to avoid is that in the end Cartagena could turn into a safe port of entry for the arrival of illegal immigrants.
