Nationalism Sweeps France: Presidential Candidate Eric Zemmour Draws Trump Size Crowds (Video)

“France is calling for help, and the French people have answered the call.”

French presidential candidate Eric Zemmour held his first campaign rally in Villepinte, France over the weekend. Zemmour delivered an inspirational speech translated exclusively for RAIR Foundation USA. The predictable leftist violence and smear pieces from mainstream news organizations did not discourage 15,000 French citizens from attending the event.

Eric Zemmour, a longtime beloved political commentator, has captured the hearts and minds of France in a “meteoric rise” proving that his message about preserving the French culture and issues such as security, Islam, and immigration still resonate with citizens.

“If I win this election it will not be an alternative version of business as usual but the beginning of the reconquest of the most beautiful country of the world,” Eric Zemmour proclaimed, launching his political party RECONQUÊTE!

Zemmour vowed to restore the country with the help of French patriots, while acknowledging “the threats of the extreme left and the hatred of the media.”

Zemmour reaffirmed what French citizens and patriots around the world understand: The left is destroying the West. And many, sadly, have rolled over and are allowing it to happen. But the massive response to Zemmour’s candidacy provides hope that all is not lost.

Zemmour declared during his speech:

The powers that be had already decided it, the journalists wished for it, and the right had accepted it: The next presidential election had to be a mere formality to usher in five more years of Macronism.

France had to continue to depart quietly, exiting history, and the French had to disappear in silence from the land of their ancestors.

But a small grain of sand arrived to jam the machine.

No, this grain of sand isn’t me! This grain of sand — it’s you!

Predictable Leftist Violence

Before the speech, Zemmour was assaulted by a 27-year-old man named Valentin Abdelmajid B., who has a violent criminal history.

The incident was largely diminished or ignored by the leftist media. Footage can be seen here and also in the video below:

Before the event, Zemmour’s security services found crowbars, cinder blocks and stones placed around the venue (a common Antifa tactic) according to Zemmour ally Benjamin Cauchy:

Our security services found, before the public entered, the crowbars inside the room, cinder blocks hidden in the toilets and stones on the chairs. So who sows violence and hatred?

Eric Zemmour is in grave danger from the left, who use violence and terrorism to suppress opposition. RAIR reported last month how “man on the street” interviews revealed murderous intent toward Zemmour. “We’re gonna kill Eric Zemmour and cut off his head,” promised one man.

But the violence did not end there. Members of the group SOS Racisme, a front for the Socialist Party of France infiltrated the rally and brawled with participants:

Predictably, the media coverage of the speech held in the northeastern suburbs of Paris was vastly negative. The mainstream media regularly refers to Eric Zemmour’s “multiple hate  speech convictions” (see here, here, here and here) because Zemmour dares to call out the leftist open-borders agenda. It is sad to see news outlets in America reporting about “hate speech” as if it is a valid charge.

But those who dream of restoring the French culture are clearly inspired by Zemmour’s message. During his speech, he honored those who had the “courage” to attend:

Your presence honors me. It gives me honor, because by coming here you are living proof of courage, of verve, of audacity, and I dare to say it, by your commitment you have shown greater urgency of commitment and resistance than that of quasi-totality of the political leaders of these last thirty years.

Hello to all! Hello my friends!

Thank you, thank you for this welcome! It’s incredible! What an atmosphere.

What a pleasure it is to be here in front of you in Villepinte.

Thank you, really. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

[Chanting something]

I heard the words of those who spoke before me.

I thank them. Thank you, my friends.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for your support. The great gathering finally starts today.

You are close to 15,000 people today.

15,000 French people. 15,000 French who braved political correctness, the threats of the extreme left and the hatred of the media.

15,000 French people who do not lower their eyes and who are determined to change the course of history.

However, let us not succumb to false modesty. The stakes are immense.

If I win this election it will not be an alternative version of business as usual but the beginning of the reconquest of the most beautiful country of the world.

[Chanting something]

And yes, it suffered so much, this country, forgotten by our successive leaders on all key issues.

It will be necessary to repair the innumerable errors which were committed the past forty years:

The economy, ecology, purchasing power, public services, immigration, and national security.

None of the major areas of the action that we must carry out escapes the serious and complete project that we will begin today to reveal to the French.

So, following the indispensable time of observations and a wake up call, the time has come for this project.

Who could have imagined that a few months ago?

The powers that be had already decided it, the journalists wished for it, and the right had accepted it: The next presidential election had to be a mere formality to usher in five more years of Macronism.

France had to continue to depart quietly, exiting history, and the French had to disappear in silence from the land of their ancestors.

But a small grain of sand arrived to jam the machine.

No, this grain of sand isn’t me! This grain of sand — it’s you!

I’m going to tell you, I’m going to tell you a beautiful story.

I’m going to tell you the story of what you have accomplished these last few months.

Last June, on all the platforms, at all the dinners in town, in all the polling institutes, what was being heard and known by everyone, was that in the second round, only Macron could win.

This presidential election was of no interest and then, and then a rumor started to spread.

Yes, yes, I admit it, I hesitated for a long time, but you made it here, we’ve made it here. and we have upset the plans (?) they had established for us.

We have broken the tacit pact between all the actors in this farce.

Until (?) the results of the coming election, I weigh my words by pronouncing this sentence:

Your presence honors me. It gives me honor, because by coming here you are living proof of courage, of verve, of audacity, and I dare to say it, by your commitment you have shown greater urgency of commitment and resistance than that of quasi-totality of the political leaders of these last thirty years.

In Bordeaux, Lyon, Lille, Nice, Ajaccio [Corsica], Nantes, Rouen, Biarritz and today in Paris.

France is calling for help, and the French people have answered the call.

For months, our meetings have disturbed the journalists, angered the politicians and have made the left hysterical.

On each of my trips, they are enraged to see people who will never accept disappearing forever.

Because from the four ends of this country they saw these rooms full, bursting and overflowing with enthusiasm. They see your flags, they hear your songs,

and they are stunned by your applause.
