“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams to Massachusetts Militia, 11 October 1798

America’s enemies did not spring up overnight. The chaos, the propaganda, the tyrannical local, state and federal government, the infiltration of institutions, the suppression of speech, the violence, the calls for overtly destructive policies, the indoctrination, and the open hatred of America is the result of citizens looking the other way for decades.

The cost of freedom is eternal vigilance. Americans have long abandoned that price, replacing it with appeasement. Instead of loudly calling out deception, Americans have shriveled away from confrontation.

The framers used the lessons learned from a thousand years of governance to devise the most groundbreaking system ever known: A system of self-rule. Or as President Abraham Lincoln declared during the Gettysburg Address, a “government of the people, by the people, for the people…”

The Constitution was designed to thwart the very people holding America hostage today. But citizens are no longer taught about the founding principles as the Constitution is dismissed, ravaged as an old document that does not reflect the current era.

“The Constitution is a charter of negative liberties,” former President Barack Obama said derisively during a 2001 interview with Chicago public radio station WBEZ.

“[The Constitution] says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.”

By it’s very nature, socialist ideology conflicts deeply with America’s breathtakingly successful founding vision of limited government and self-rule. But as the years pass, this vision has been clouded and obscured by enemies of America, and citizens have ceded ground to those who have vigilantly marched through now unrecognizable, once-cherished institutions, such as the church or academia or America’s legal system.

Every aspect of America appears to have been hijacked in spectacular fashion.

The Constitution is the supreme law of the land, yet socialists who laughably swear to uphold it are elected to roam local, state and federal government offices. Unelected bureaucrats make legally binding, politically driven decisions freely through the unconstitutional federal registry, and multiple socialist organizations and Marxist-led labor unions that openly call for the dismantling of America enjoy tax-exempt status.

While much is discussed about the intent of the founding fathers, there is little knowledge of who actually writes legislation today, much less any scrutiny given to the possible subversive intent behind it. Imagine if Americans could see which socialist organizations authored the laws they are bound to follow.

Hard left activists are deeply involved in writing legislation. This issue deserves much more attention than what can be provided here, but one of many examples would be the authors of Alexandria Ocassio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, devised by her allies in the hard-left “think tank” New Consensus.

The same people who sneer at the Constitution today continue to cherish the Manifesto of the Communist Party, written in 1848 by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Most Americans could not articulate the concept of enumeration of powers (which would guarantee the federal government stay within the confines delegated in the Constitution), much less defend the founding principles of limited government and self rule.

As described at Cato:

Advocates of limited government are not anti‐government, per se, as some people charge. Rather, they are hostile to concentrations of coercive power and to the arbitrary use of power against right. With a deep appreciation for the lessons of history and the dangers of unconstrained government, they advocate for constitutionally limited government, with the delegated authority and means to protect our rights, but not so powerful as to destroy or negate them.

The enemies of the Constitution understand the Constitution often more than the patriots that should be fighting to defend it, tragically. A good place to start would be the Federalist Papers (linked here in plain language), a series of essays written before the Constitution discussing what the role of the federal government should be in America.

It’s time to re-learn the fundamental principles upon which America was built. And importantly, it is past time to defend those principles. Loudly.

True, we need to understand the original intentions. However, there's now very little time to be overly scholarly. We know the basics enough to start a plan to push back the Communists and reclaim our country. It isn't rocket science. The rules of law are there. What we lack is twofold; WE NEED A PLAN! and, WE NEED REAL LEADERSHIP! Allowing the Communists the advantage of not only utilizing their playbook but winning at their hands is the most incredulous thing I have witnessed in my lifetime! We've known for years how this could happen. We've had their plans for over a century! Allowing this to happen is nearly the same as being an accomplice, or just plain weak. We need a plan so we can take action, and we need leaders who will be strong enough to see it through.

When I was at school in the early 1970s, I observed the leftists, and had to take some of their courses, where I learned to parrot back what the leftist professor said, and *never* mentioned what I really thought anywhere near university hangouts, because I didn't want to get an F that the professor would not let me do anything about. I am ashamed to say that I actually believed that most people coming into the school behind me would see through their bulls**t, but after all, I was young and stupid. By the 1990s, I learned to my chagrin that the elementary school teachers in my town were leftists (but I thought that because I homeschooled, it wasn't my problem); again, I believed that the parents of the children in public schools knew about it, and were handling it. Just in case, we made sure that our oldest took an online course on the Constitution and constitutional law that was recommended by HSLDA. Then my child went to school to become a software engineer (nothing political about that, right?), and he assured me that all his friends were libertarians ... and I believed him. After Mr. Trump was elected, and since all the leftist agitation that has been going on, I have started to hear leftist bulls**t coming out of my child's mouth. I have not confronted my child for an extended discussion, because there are other issues at play as well, and because I am certain that, like all leftists, my child would cut me off completely if I insisted upon a discussion. My failure was that I did not participate enough in the education of my children. I did not spend enough time teaching them that the record of governments throughout history is virtually perfect: Governments have, and have had, no concern for their citizens, and don't care if they die in order to please the ruling elites. No government should *E*V*E*R* be trusted - not even ours (and ESPECIALLY not ours now). Now I must pay the price for not paying close enough attention: when Civil War II starts, my child and I will be on opposite sides, and it is not likely that I will be able to change that ahead of time. Nevertheless, I am bringing this to the Lord in prayer, and perhaps He will heal my child's infected mind; He is the last, best chance my child has.

I want to send you a poster which I did with Mike Ramirez of the San Antonio Patriots Group. It shows George Washington on one knee at Valley Forge. The caption reads: "To God Alone, I Bow." We added three quotations from George Washington, all relevant to the Marxist assault on our nation. One is: "If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led like sheep to the slaughter." Bare Naked Islam included it in an article two days ago: "That Didn't Stop Racism, Did It?" Mike and I are engaged on producing many more posters which confront the egregious desecration of America by the Left. Thank you for your blog! God bless and empower you!

It's coming over. Both the BNI article I referred to, and a new poster, with an article. This one is about "It's Your Turn Now." The poster shows exhausted Marines at Iwo Jima, who gave everything. There is a photo of reprobates burning the American flag, most of them laughing. Underneath, the image of the exhausted Marines. The caption accompanying them is: Our brothers died for the flag they are desecrating..." At the very bottom: It's Your Turn Now.
CNN has lost all Pretense; turns full Marxist – RAIR
[…] it is this naivety, this complacency, that has allowed the Marxist long march through the institutions, leading America to this turning point in history. Many, if not most, citizens were blissfully […]
