Salvini Slams Upcoming 'Kidnapping' Trial: 'I will declare myself guilty of defending Italy and the Italian people' (Video)

“I am honored to have upheld the laws, the honor, the borders, and the dignity of my country.”

Despite Italy’s socialist Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and the European Union efforts to defeat Lega Party leader, Matteo Salvini, he vowed to fight their spin-doctored charge of “kidnapping” illegal migrants and continue fighting for his country and its citizens.

In a new video released by Matteo Salvini, he slammed the political trial in which is set to begin on October 3, 2020, for the charge of “Kidnapping”, which in reality was preventing 164 potentially dangerous and illegal migrants from disembarking from a Soros-funded NGO ship last year. In August, Left-wing Italian senators voted 149 to 141 in favor of Salvini standing trial for “kidnapping” illegal migrants, making this seem more like a political trial or a witch hunt than a legal matter.

“I will go on trial because I blocked the disembarkation of illegal immigrants into our country”  declared the former Deputy PM, Savini in front of his supporters in Manduria, where he was campaigning for the Lega Party in the regional elections

I will declare myself guilty of defending Italy and the Italian people. Honored to have upheld the laws, the honor, the borders, and the dignity of my country. Long live Manduria

As previously reported by RAIR Foundation USA, Salvini refused to grant Open Arms, an NGO ship who has been widely accused of human trafficking, permission to dock in an Italian port in August last year. The boat remained at sea for several weeks until a number of European Union countries took the illegal migrants in. Salvini had asked the ship to leave Italian waters and go to Spain where the government invited the boat to dock.

Just a few weeks ago, in Pontassieve, Tuscany, while campaigning for the regional elections, Salvini was attacked by a Congolese migrant. During the attack, the enraged migrant ripped the leaders rosary from around his neck. Separately, a group of radical leftists and Antifa anarchists protested his visit.

This attack only further proves Salvini’s concerns that many illegal migrants entering into Italy been shown to be extremely dangerous and often sickly people with values and ambitions that are in staunch opposition to Western values and laws.

The video below is a composite of several clips, and shows the attack itself as well as Salvini’s remarks afterwards.

With Italy’s socialist Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte and the European Union experiencing their lowest-ever approval rating among Italians, it is not surprising that they are desperate to neutralize their biggest threat: Matteo Salvini. Fearing the anti-EU sentiment and growing popularity of Salvini, Conte and the EU are using every dirty trick to silence their opposition.

Not surprisingly, a recent poll by the news organization Affari Italiani shows 65 percent of Italians feel threatened by the way Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte’s left-wing government is dealing with the country’s migration crisis and would like see Salvini return to power.

  • At the same time Italy is surveilling and targeting Americans for expulsion: tourists, teachers, and other visitors who entered the country legally!
