Two people are dead and another injured after a Church shooting in White Settlement, Texas.
According to CBSDFW, the shooting happened around 10 o’clock Sunday morning at the West Freeway Church of Christ in Tarrant County, which is located west of Fort Worth.
In this horrifying live stream video from the Church, you can see the gunman walk up to a server during communion and opened fire with a shotgun. A security guard was able to neutralize the shooter.
From The Dallas Morning News:
The shooting was captured on a live stream of Sunday’s worship service. In the video, which is no longer available on the church’s Youtube channel, a person stands and pulls out what appears to be a shotgun, then fires twice before someone toward the back of the sanctuary returns fire.
Some congregants holding guns rushed toward the shooter, while others ducked under church pews.
Two men died reportedly from their injuries and another man was critically injured.
Police say the gunman is among the three victims, but it is currently unclear if he is dead or injured. The identities of the victims or shooter have not yet been released.
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton issued a short statement on Twitter early Sunday afternoon.
“We are shocked and saddened to hear reports of a shooting at a church in White Settlement,” he wrote. “As reports come in, please pray for any victims and their families, this congregation, and the law enforcement officials at the scene. My office will assist in any way needed.”
This is a developing story. RAIR will provide more updates as they become available.
