White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s expression was priceless in the wake of a moronic question posed by Ryan Lizza at a press briefing earlier today: “Does President Trump believe that it was a good thing that the South lost the Civil War?”
McEnany replied that the question posed by Lizza, the Chief Washington Correspondent for Politico and a Senior Political Analyst for CNN is “absolutely absurd.”
“There’s a national conversation going on right now about the proper place of the symbols of the Confederacy,” Lizza said. “The president has repeatedly inserted himself into this debate. And I think a lot of people are trying to understand what his view of memorializing the Confederacy is.”
