In the Swedish town of Kiruna, a 21-year-old man was stabbed to death on a bus by a migrant family. Three suspects, a 47-year-old man, Mohammad-Jawad Ahmadi, and his two minor sons, are under arrest for the murder. All three of the individuals are Afghan citizens, and the 15 and 17-years-old sons also have Swedish citizenship.
According to the Swedish Tax Agency, the trio came to Sweden from Iran in 2012, like many other Afghans who have come to Sweden in recent years. The two minor sons received Swedish citizenship on February 28, 2019, and cannot be deported.
The three migrants are familiar with the victim. There was reported to be some conflict amongst them, but the motive is still unclear. The police’s working theory is that there may be some sort of jealousy drama behind the knife execution, something that the investigators are looking into.
The father admits that he and his sons were involved in the murder, but claims they all acted in self-defense. However, witness statements contradict the father’s statements. Reports indicate that the father and sons chased the murdered man through the streets as he ultimately tried to take shelter in the bus.

The police received a call last night at 9:16pm about an incident on a bus in Kiruna. One person was killed and several others were in custody for murder, alternatively, homicide. The location is currently blocked off, now during the morning.
This is an interchange bus terminal where people change buses. The police and forensic specialists are on location to investigate the site. The bus company has reported that all bus services are cancelled in central Kiruna.
A father along with his two sons are suspected of murder on the bus in Kiruna, which happened last Wednesday night. All three admitted involvement with regard to the incident, but they deny the murder crime. I find that all three persons conspired together to attack the plaintiff and they used a knife to murder him on the bus.
There is a dispute between these persons. In particular, between the oldest man and the plaintiff, which ignited the incident. This is not just a random incident concerning people who don’t know each other. They knew him. But I don’t want to comment further in regard to why it happened.
Last Friday Gällivare City Court ordered the three persons into custody on suspicion of murder. One of the sons admits that he killed the man on the bus, but claims it was in self-defense. They confessed some details, that they were at the location, and they were involved to a certain extent. But that doesn’t make them guilty of murder.
Is there a discussion about self-defense? I’ve seen that one of the defenders mentioned it in the objection statement. We will investigate this. I saw that the police were in the parking lot. I just saw the lights were flashing. Two guys were handcuffed and sat down on the street or in the parking lot. I believe they were handcuffed.
You mean this was going on during the incident?
Yes. I thought, it’s weird that a police car just drove by then an ambulance also drove by. We didn’t know that the incident happened on a bus. I found that out later from the TV.
How do you feel about it happening close to you? You live right next to all of this.
I don’t take is as if it were very dangerous. But I think it was completely unnecessary.
Muslims need to have patience … in such a peaceful country like sweden if this Afgahns behave like they are in Kabul it will give a bad name to Muslims & Refugees..
