Islamized UK: College Replaces St. George's Day with Eid

With a rapidly growing population of around four million Muslims, the UK is experiencing the Islamization of its country.

Magdalen College at the University of Oxford in the UK has announced that it will not host the annual St. George’s Day dinner this year. Instead, the college will host a formal dinner for Muslims to mark the end of Ramadan. This decision has sparked controversy and raised concerns about the marginalization of English culture in the UK.

The college has invited Muslims to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with a festive dinner in the hall following Muslim customs. The meat dish will be halal, and no alcohol will be served. The college has insisted that the treatment of both Muslims and Christians is even-handed and that the college celebrates all major Christian festivals and saints’ days.

St. George, the patron saint of England, has been out of favor for years, with the Church of England reportedly considering rejecting him as the patron saint on the grounds that his image is too warlike and may offend Muslims. In addition, there have been reports of councils refusing to fly the flag of St. George, fearing it would offend Muslim residents. These concerns have led to a de-emphasis of St. George’s Day celebrations, which has caused consternation among many English patriots.

Magdalen College’s decision to cancel the St. George’s Day dinner has further fueled this debate. The college has claimed that there is no college tradition of a formal dinner for St. George’s Day. However, the Telegraph cited proof of such events, including a formal invite in 2018 for lecturers to celebrate St. George’s Day with a special English menu. The college has denied the existence of any such events and maintained that the treatment of Muslims and Christians is even-handed.

With a rapidly growing population of around four million Muslims, the UK is experiencing the Islamization of its country. The cancellation of the St. George’s Day dinner is just another sign of the growing influence of the Muslim community in the UK. Furthermore, it is part of a worrying trend of Muslims undermining English culture.

  • Asinine. The guest culture is supposed assimilate into the dominant culture. I have a St. George medal I wear around my neck on occasion. St. George is also on the smaller(almost quarter troy ounce) British gold sovereign, and other British coins I have inspected. He’s great. Slaying the Dragon on horseback. Who doesn’t love that?

  • Although my family heritage is French/French Canadian, I am a product (as an American) of English culture.

I have no issues with Muslims celebrating the end of Ramadan at Oxford. I certainly do believe that surrendering your great culture as a consequence to be a mistake.

This culture built western civilization, I for one refuse to abandon it.

  • The actual number of Mussulmen in the UK would probably be about 20 million plus a few million illegals.

    Please correct number.
