“Attorney General Drew Wrigley said that 37-year-old shooter Mohamed Barakat was a Syrian national who came to the U.S. on asylum in 2012. He gained citizenship in 2019, but Wrigley did not say when Barakat moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area.”
This is the only known photo of Mohamed Barakat. Attorney General Drew Wrigley said Barakat had little to no social media and community presence. Barakat’s online search history revealed he had been researching mass shootings for years and even events in Fargo-Moorhead in the days leading up to the devasting incident.
Officials Reveal Background Of Fargo Shooter Mohamad Barakat:
Update: July 19, 2023
“Three blocks from where Mohamad Barakat opened fire on police officers and firefighters, the Islamic Society of Fargo-Moorhead squats across from a school bus company. Nearby are other elements of the new enclave like the Somali Community Development group which offers English and citizenship classes and the Al Hamdi Restaurant from whose vicinity an eyewitness reported hearing the shots that took the life of one police officer and wounded two others.
Officially authorities claim to be baffled by Mohamad’s decision to open fire on cops and firefighters, but the decision by the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service and the bomb squad to search Mohamad’s apartment suggests that they privately have an explosive motive in mind.
“The first thing we always want to know in a situation like this is, ‘Why?”Why would somebody do this?’” Chief David Zibolski wondered. Perhaps he should ask in Fargo’s own Little Mogadishu and inquire of the politicians who turned Fargo into a refugee camp.
If Mohamad acted in the name of Islam, it would not be the first terror attack from Fargo.
In 2016, Dahir Adan, a Somali refugee who penetrated the country along with a massive family that was tragically resettled in Fargo, went on a stabbing spree in a St. Cloud, MN mall. The Somali refugee had gone around the mall shouting “Allahu Akbar” dedicating the violence to his Islamic deity, and demanding to know if potential targets were Muslims before stabbing them.
ISIS claimed credit for the attack after Adam, like Mohamad, was fatally shot and killed, but not until after he stabbed 10 Americans. Fargo Muslims however quickly rushed to play the victim.

Fargo, North Dakota – The serene streets of Fargo were shattered on Friday afternoon as a shocking incident unfolded, leaving the community in disbelief. Mohamad Barakat, a Muslim individual known to the police, launched a devastating attack on police officers who were responding to a traffic crash. Tragically, this deliberate act of violence claimed the life of Officer Jake Wallin, a promising 23-year-old talent who recently joined the Fargo Police Department in April following his service in the Minnesota National Guard.
Barakat’s swift and brutal assault also left two other officers, Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes, critically wounded. Currently, these courageous individuals are fighting for their recovery in stable condition. Moreover, a woman sustained serious injuries amidst the chaos before Officer Zach Robinson bravely intervened, ultimately bringing an end to the rampage by fatally shooting Barakat.
As the community of Fargo grapples with the aftermath of this horrifying event, crucial questions remain unanswered. Concerns mount as law enforcement authorities provide limited information regarding Mohamad Barakat and his previous encounters with the police. The lack of transparency surrounding his background and motivations leaves the residents seeking a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances leading to this tragic incident.
At a Saturday press conference, Fargo Police Chief David Zibolski expressed the community’s shock and sorrow. In his address, Chief Zibolski acknowledged the numerous unanswered questions surrounding the motive behind this heinous act, referring to the Muslim suspect as an “unknown gunman.” As the investigation unfolds, authorities are collaborating with the state Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the FBI.
As previously highlighted by RAIR Foundation USA, the FBI’s track record in identifying and addressing connections related to Islamic terrorism in America has been a subject of concern. Instances of vital links being overlooked have fueled a broader discussion about the agency’s effectiveness in combatting such threats.
Mohamad Barakat, a 37-year-old resident of Fargo, has been identified as the suspect. However, Chief Zibolski refrained from disclosing further details about the shooter or the ongoing investigation to safeguard its integrity. Despite having some prior contact with Barakat, the police chief emphasized that the interactions were not deemed significant.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. on Friday when police officers responded to a traffic crash on a bustling Fargo street. The crash seems unrelated to the subsequent shooting, adding to the motive’s perplexity, reports police. Chief Zibolski expressed the urgency of understanding the underlying reasons behind such an act of violence, emphasizing the need to ascertain the “why” in such situations.
Eyewitnesses at the scene were left traumatized by the shocking events. However, in a disturbing trend observed in recent incidents, both in Europe and the United States, authorities and media outlets have been hesitant to discuss the identity and potential motivations of migrant and Islamic attackers. This approach has sparked debates about the influence of Muslims and their role in acts of violence.
Notably, journalist and author Robert Spencer have highlighted an exhortation issued by the Islamic State in 2014 that advocated striking “the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit” and encouraged targeting police, security, and intelligence personnel.
So O muwahhid, do not let this battle pass you by wherever you may be. You must strike the soldiers, patrons, and troops of the tawaghit. Strike their police, security, and intelligence members, as well as their treacherous agents. Destroy their beds. Embitter their lives for them and busy them with themselves. If you can kill a disbelieving American or European — especially the spiteful and filthy French — or an Australian, or a Canadian, or any other disbeliever from the disbelievers waging war, including the citizens of the countries that entered into a coalition against the Islamic State, then rely upon Allah, and kill him in any manner or way however it may be….If you are not able to find an IED or a bullet, then single out the disbelieving American, Frenchman, or any of their allies. Smash his head with a rock, or slaughter him with a knife, or run him over with your car, or throw him down from a high place, or choke him, or poison him….
Spencer suggests that while other factors may contribute to the attack, the possibility of it being a jihadist act should not be disregarded. Despite that warning, it often is painstakingly ignored as a possible motive.
Pervasive questions resonate—Why did this heinous assault occur on that fateful Friday while the release of crucial information regarding Mohamad Barakat and his prior encounters with law enforcement remains distressingly scarce? As investigations continue and the community mourns the loss of Officer Jake Wallin, the focus remains on finding answers to this attack. The residents of Fargo demand transparency and accountability to ensure the safety and security of their community.
Mk-Ultra Mohamheads are dangerous and unpredictable. Homobama’s regime deployed quite a few. Then during the Trump era they seem to have gone dormant. Here we go again. ☹
