The rampage was ignited by false blasphemy accusations against Salim Masih, a Christian man accused of blaspheming the Quran. Amid chants of “Allahu Akbar” and Islamic prayers, the frenzied mob has subjected Christians to unspeakable brutality, evoking memories of past atrocities against minority groups.

The lackluster response from authorities has left the Christian community in a state of despair. President Bishop of Pakistan, Azad Marshall, took to social media to express his anguish, stating, “Bibles have been desecrated and Christians have been tortured and harassed having been falsely accused of violating the Holy Quran. We cry out for justice and action from law enforcement and those who dispense justice and the safety of all citizens to intervene immediately and assure us that our lives are valuable in our own homeland that has just celebrated independence and freedom.”

The violence is a stark reminder of Pakistan’s disturbing transformation. A nation once home to a diverse tapestry of religions has witnessed the dwindling of non-Muslim populations to a mere 3%. The attack serves as a chilling testament to the alarming Islamic campaign of “purifying the land of the pure,” which continues to marginalize and oppress religious minorities.

Westerners need to grasp that these attacks are deeply tied to religious doctrines justifying violence against non-believers and elevating honor and righteousness. Muslims carrying out these attacks are religiously driven, and the assaults on Christians aren’t isolated acts but part of a broader Islamic religious war against all non-Muslims. Whether or not these Muslims from Pakistan hate non-believers is secondary; their primary goal is glorifying Allah. They don’t await orders or approvals – their faith and doctrine compel them to act.

If they desecrate the Old Testament then are they not blasphemous? As I understand Allah is the god of Moses, Abraham, David, Solomon and so on. Therefore, there is no difference in destroying the Koran or the Old Testament. Or did Mo make up new rules.
