In a shocking incident that has rattled France and prompted questions about the justice system, two elderly women, aged 93 and 95, in a French geriatric ward became victims of a horrifying sexual assault by a 44-year-old Islamic migrant known to the police for sex crimes. Tragically, both victims subsequently lost their lives within days after the attack.
The ordeal unfolded in the geriatric ward of Victor Dupouy Hospital. The suspect, identified as an illegal Muslim migrant, Samir B, was arrested by the police and placed in custody on Saturday, October 14. It was a grim day when the hospital security service intercepted Samir B just outside the facility at approximately 4:30 PM. He had been leaving the room of a 93-year-old woman suffering from psychological disorders and dementia.
Semen was discovered on the victim’s bed sheets, pointing to the disturbing nature of the assault. Later that evening, the 93-year-old woman’s health deteriorated rapidly, leading to her losing consciousness. Despite the efforts of the medical staff to resuscitate her after a cardiac arrest, her life could not be saved. Her tragic death has prompted the launch of a second investigation to uncover the full extent of the circumstances surrounding her demise.
Around the same time as the first assault, another 95-year-old woman reported a similar ordeal to the medical staff. She explained that the same individual, Samir B, had entered her room just minutes before the incident. According to her testimony, Samir B subjected her to sexual groping and digital penetration, which legally constitute rape. The distressing events took a severe toll on her, and it was revealed on Monday, October 23, that she passed away four days after the ordeal.
Disturbingly, Samir B admitted to his heinous deeds while being taken to the police station. More alarming is the fact that Samir B was already known to the judicial system, as he had a record in the TAJ files [Traitement d’antécédents judiciaries, Processing of criminal records] for sexual assault. Despite this previous record, he had been released pending his trial, which was scheduled to take place on November 16. The prosecutor has since announced their intention to appeal this decision, which has baffled many in the community, including some law enforcement members.
The heart-wrenching and infuriating case has sparked a broader conversation about the safety and justice for vulnerable members of society. It underscores the importance of screening migrants, securing France’s borders, and promptly deporting threats to the community. The victims, both vulnerable elderly women, deserve nothing less.

We had a few incidents of elder abuse by hospital staff. On one case, we had a caretaker punching an elderly man for laughs. He videotaped his sadistic behavior too.
My grandmother was in a hospital aftercare facility when she had broken her femur. She had a male hospital staff molest her (down below the waist) while she was trapped in her bed recovering from her broken femur.
