Los Angeles, CA, October 31, 2023 – In the wake of the recent Islamic terror attack by Hamas on innocent Israelis and Jews, the Islamic extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir organized a rally in Los Angeles, where their disturbing rhetoric and radical intentions came to light.
Hizb ut-Tahrir, which translates to the “Party of Liberation,” is a pan-Islamist, fundamentalist organization with the goal of re-establishing the Islamic Caliphate, governed by Islamic law and a caliph chosen by Muslims. Their objectives include the promotion of Islam and the implementation of Sharia law, even through the use of violence if necessary.
Over the past week, Hizb ut-Tahrir has organized radical demonstrations in major U.S. cities, including Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles. They have distributed propaganda leaflets, calling on Muslims worldwide to unite and wage war against Israel, Jews, and all the kuffar [infidels, unbelievers]. Their message is clear: they aim to conquer Israel and America and establish Islamic rule over the world.
The adult attendees, many waving Palestinian and ISIS flags, chanted threatening slogans and gave speeches calling for the restoration of the Caliphate. The terrorist members called on Muslim armies to liberate the al-Aqsa Mosque and the rest of Palestine. According to Hizb ut-Tahrir, al-Aqsa Mosque is the future platform on which the world Caliphate will be declared.
During the Los Angeles event, a leader from Hizb ut-Tahrir conducted an interview with one of their members. Speaking in Arabic, the Hizb ut-Tahrir leader asked about the situation in Palestine and the member’s views. The member’s response was deeply troubling and threatening:
“Oh, I wish I was with them, and the borders of the Muslim nations will be open; they will enter Palestine, fight the Jews, end this unjust occupation, establish the Islamic State to rule us and the world. The white flag will fly high above the White House and the country’s borders. We support the Muslim army to rise up, support their brothers, and liberate Palestine and all Muslim countries.”
Hizb ut-Tahrir, founded in 1953 in East Jerusalem, is banned in several countries, including Germany, China, Russia, Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan, for its antisemitic and anti-Israeli propaganda, as well as its revolutionary Islamic intentions. With a presence in 50 nations and approximately one million registered members, the British chapter is considered the global movement’s nerve center.
The group’s track record is alarming. It has been known to recruit and radicalize individuals who later become involved in acts of terrorism. Figures like Mohammed Atta, the mastermind behind the September 11 attacks, and Mohammed Emwazi, known as “Jihadi John,” were influenced by Hizb ut-Tahrir’s extremist ideology.
Hizb ut-Tahrir’s virulent antisemitism is evident in its calls for violence against Jews and its refusal to recognize Israel’s right to exist. They view Israel as an occupying force and criticize organizations like Hamas for not being aggressive enough in their stance against Israel.
The group encourages Muslims to march on Israel, kill Jews, and dismantle the state. Their literature has openly endorsed suicide bombings and the murder of Israelis and Jews.
The question remains: why isn’t Hizb ut-Tahrir banned in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Denmark, or other nations that uphold classical liberal values, equal protection, and freedom of speech? Western leaders allow this Islamic terror organization to operate within their borders, recruiting and training individuals, including young children, while welcoming migrants from regions with a history of antisemitism. This raises serious questions about the commitment of these nations to protect their citizens and uphold the values of inclusivity and tolerance.
The Los Angeles rally by Hizb ut-Tahrir serves as another stark reminder of the need for vigilance in addressing Islam and taking action to ensure the safety and security of all non-Muslim residents.
