A series of anti-Zara protests at Toronto’s Eaton Centre took a disturbing turn on Sunday, December 17, 2023, as a masked Hamas supporter threatened violence, leaving both shoppers and protesters shocked and concerned. The incident occurred after days of demonstrations against the retail giant over its ties to Israel.
The disturbing incident occurred during yet another protest in front of the Zara store at Eaton Centre. A masked Hamas supporter draped in a Palestinian war scarf (keffiyeh) issued a deadly threat directly at the police, stating, ‘I’ll put you six feet deep.’ The target of this threat remains unclear, as the chaotic scene made it difficult to discern whether the Hamas supporter was directing the deadly threat at the police or someone standing behind them. Regardless, the police officers, who can be seen on film appearing surprised by the threat, did not take any action to apprehend the masked Hamas supporter and allowed him to walk away.
This shocking incident has raised significant concerns about public safety and the perception of a two-tiered policing system during these ongoing, threatening Hamas protests. It has also led to calls for a thorough investigation into law enforcement’s response.”
Hamas targets Zara and other pro-Isreal businesses
The pro-Hamas demonstrators have spent weeks forcing several prominent stores to temporarily shut their doors, accusing them of supporting Israel’s war efforts. This includes an incident on Friday at the Eaton Centre where staff at Zara temporarily pulled down its metal security gate to keep violent protesters out, even though shoppers were still inside. The protesters have been targeting businesses they believe are connected to the Israeli army or illegal settlements in the West Bank.
In the case of Zara, Hamas supporters allege that the franchise owner, Joey Schwebel, a Canadian-Israeli who controls Zara Israel, hosted a campaign event for conservative lawmaker Itamar Ben Gvir. While Schwebel and Zara have described the event as private, they declined to comment further on the matter.
The protests also come in the wake of criticism directed at Zara for a recent ad campaign called “The Jacket.” Many people felt that the campaign’s images resembled photos of corpses in white shrouds in Gaza. Zara stated that the campaign was conceived in July and photographed in September before the Israel-Hamas war erupted in October. The campaign featured statues wrapped in white and mannequins with missing limbs.
Following the backlash, Zara pulled the campaign, removing its images from the retailer’s website and social media channels. On Zara’s Instagram post with its statement, users demanded a boycott of the brand, with many Hamas supporters expressing the belief that a longer apology should have been issued.
Escalating violence and threats
The shocking incident on Sunday night at Eaton Centre serves as a troubling reminder of the escalating violence and threats during these ongoing pro-Hamas protests. What is perhaps equally concerning is the inaction of law enforcement in the face of such a grave threat. Video evidence shows police officers appearing surprised by the threat but taking no immediate action to apprehend the masked Hamas supporter. This has left many questioning whether there is a disparity in the way authorities respond to violent acts during these protests, further fueling concerns about public safety.
As the pro-Hamas protests continue, the terror supporters appear increasingly emboldened, targeting specific businesses and individuals and, in many cases, resorting to threats and violence. The incident at Zara on Sunday raises the urgent need for a comprehensive assessment of law enforcement’s handling of these protests and how they ensure the safety of both the public.
Call Sgt. Preston of the Yukon. He will kick his ass all the way back to Afcrapistan.
Who are the “terror supporters”? Here’s a current TV commercial being aired in Israel, celebrating the planned GENOCIDE of the entire Palestinian people to cleanse and seize their soil: Gaza, West Bank, Jerusalem. “The Friendship Song”, also called: “Israeli Children Sing to Celebrate the Extermination of Palestinians to be Complete in Another Year”. https://www.bitchute.com/video/AM7ipINeYJWp/
Kind of obvious who is in control. If it’s okay with Canadians go for it.
The masked idiot can easily be identified by his massive eyebrow.
