Germany's AfD Leader Alice Weidel Stuns Parliament: Blasts Left-Wing Government's Deadly Open Borders Policies and Economic Destruction

“Non-Germans grab a knife six times more often and commit seven times more sexual offenses than German citizens.” – Dr. Alice Weidel

Dr. Alice Weidel, leader of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, delivered a scathing critique of the government’s policies during a speech in the German Bundestag. Weidel held Chancellor Olaf Scholz and his administration responsible for Germany’s economic decline, unchecked migration, and deteriorating internal security. She called for sweeping reforms, highlighting her conservative party’s vision for Germany and defending AfD members who have been subject to harassment and political suppression.

Weidel opened with the recent knife jihad attack by a failed Syrian Muslim asylum seeker in Solingen, pointing to it as an example of the dangers posed by the left-wing government’s open migration policies. “Almost three weeks have passed since the gruesome knife terror attack by a failed Syrian asylum seeker in Solingen… The victims of Solingen would still be alive and unharmed if those responsible acted according to the law,” Weidel remarked, highlighting her point that the government’s failure to secure Germany’s borders has endangered its citizens.

Her critique of the Scholz administration’s economic policies was equally sharp. Referring to the Chancellor as the “chancellor of the decline,” Weidel linked his hard-left policies to widespread unemployment, particularly in the industrial sector. “For alleged climate protection, you are destroying the German economy… Half a million unemployed,” she declared, emphasizing that once-iconic companies like Volkswagen, SAP, Ford, and Bosch are shedding thousands of jobs due to government regulations and increasing global competition. “The most illustrious names are shedding jobs in Germany and relocating abroad because they are no longer competitive here,” Weidel noted, calling out the government for its inability to protect key industries.

Immigration was the dominant theme of Weidel’s speech, as she laid out the direct impact of mass migration on Germany’s safety and societal fabric. She presented alarming crime statistics, stating that “non-Germans grab a knife six times more often and commit seven times more sexual offenses than German citizens.” Weidel backed up her claims by referencing data from the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), highlighting that since 2017, over 52,000 women have been victims of sexual offenses committed by asylum seekers, primarily from Islamic countries, Syria, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Moreover, the number of violent crimes committed by non-Germans has surged, with foreign suspects making up nearly 40% of all cases involving serious bodily harm, including stabbings and assaults. In the state of North Rhine-Westphalia alone, non-Germans are involved in over 50% of homicide cases. Additionally, since 2015, the country has witnessed a 23% increase in crime rates associated with foreign nationals, with the majority of these offenses linked to recent asylum seekers.

Weidel emphasized that migrant crime is not limited to sexual offenses and knife attacks. She highlighted that foreign nationals account for a disproportionately high number of robberies, home invasions, and drug-related crimes, with asylum seekers making up 14% of suspects in serious crimes, despite being a small percentage of the total population. “So what are you still waiting for? Deport these criminals at once!” Weidel demanded, underscoring the urgent need for stricter immigration controls.

One of the most jarring points in her speech was her focus on the government’s sabotage of deportations. Weidel called out the radical Interior Minister Nancy Faeser for funding a portal that actively assists migrants in evading deportation. “This federal government sabotages deportations,” Weidel charged, adding that the portal, available in nine languages, provides migrants with tips on how to avoid being deported. She went on to criticize the government for offering leniency to Afghan criminals, stating, “Shortly before the state elections, you celebrate an absurd luxury deportation of all of 28 Afghan felons and even give them a princely handout of €1,000 to send them on their way.” She argued that this “reward for murder and rape” sends the wrong message and only encourages further illegal migration.

Weidel also reminded the Bundestag that under German law, the government has a legal obligation to prevent illegal migration. She cited Article 16a of the Basic Law, which explicitly states that immigrants from safe third countries do not have a claim to asylum. “That is, by the way, not an option; that is a legal obligation that you have,” she stressed, making it clear that the current administration’s failure to enforce these laws is a dereliction of duty.

Weidel then pointed the finger at former embattled Chancellor Angela Merkel, blaming her for undermining Germany’s legal framework regarding migration. “This chancellor wiped away this valid right nine years ago with the stroke of a pen and established a rule of injustice that is running Germany into the ground,” she said, highlighting the long-term damage inflicted by Merkel’s open-door immigration policy.

Her critique extended to the CDU (Christian Democratic Union), as Weidel accused the party of hypocrisy. While the CDU publicly distances itself from the AfD and its policies during election campaigns, Weidel claimed that, in practice, the CDU ends up supporting left-wing policies that worsen the migration crisis. “In the election campaign, the CDU writes off the AfD, but rejects all our proposals… after the election, it falls in line with the left-wing united front,” Weidel said, highlighting what she sees as a contradiction between the party’s rhetoric and actions. She pointed to the explosion in naturalizations under CDU-governed Berlin as proof of their role in Germany’s migration challenges, noting that there were 60% more naturalizations in the first eight months of this year than in the entire previous year—despite the CDU’s claims of wanting stricter migration controls.

Weidel’s speech didn’t just critique the current state of affairs—it also outlined the AfD’s vision for Germany’s future. She called for an immediate halt to immigration, a complete overhaul of asylum laws, and the deportation of all illegal migrants and criminals. “A strict moratorium on immigration, a stop to the intake and naturalization of all migrants for at least five years, and no naturalization of people who are in our welfare system… That’s what a responsible, AfD-led government would do now,” Weidel stated, clearly contrasting the current administration’s approach.

Weidel also spoke out against the political persecution faced by her party and its supporters, accusing the government of stifling opposition voices through censorship and harassment. “You have systematically defamed critics, compared them with vermin, and dehumanized them with the most evil fecal and Nazi terms, and set the secret service on them,” Weidel claimed, referring to the coordinated attacks on AfD members by left-wing factions and the government officials. She further argued that the government has denied the AfD its rightful parliamentary representation, stripping the party of its roles in key decision-making bodies and committees.

In her conclusion, Weidel reiterated her call for urgent reforms, stating that Germany could no longer afford to wait for change. “Whoever wants genuine change and reforms will vote for the Alternative for Germany (AfD),” she declared, positioning her party as the only viable solution to the nation’s growing crises.

Weidel’s speech was a strong call for action, urging Germans to reject the current left-wing government’s policies in favor of a more secure and prosperous future. The AfD remains steadfast in its commitment to restoring Germany’s sovereignty, security, and industrial strength despite facing dangerous opposition from the political establishment.
