Islamized 2034 World Cup: FIFA's Surrender to Saudi Arabia and Betrayal of the West

FIFA’s decision to award the 2034 World Cup to Saudi Arabia is a shameless betrayal of Western values, forcing iconic Western cultural events to bow to Islamic laws, legitimizing an oppressive regime through sportswashing, and sacrificing human rights, fan freedoms, and moral integrity for Saudi oil money.

FIFA [Federation Internationale de Football Association] has outdone itself yet again. In a move that spits in the face of non-Muslims, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone remotely valuing human rights, the 2034 World Cup is heading to Saudi Arabia—an Islamic theocracy where non-Muslims are marginalized, free speech is silenced, and fundamental liberties are nonexistent. This isn’t just another case of FIFA’s infamous corruption and greed; it’s an open endorsement of a regime hostile to Western values, and the spineless leaders of Western nations are cheering it on.

A Nation Built on Persecution

Saudi Arabia isn’t just another country with a questionable record. It’s a nation where religious freedom doesn’t exist. Non-Muslims are forbidden from openly practicing their faith, and even carrying a Bible or cross can get you imprisoned. For Christians, Jews, Hindus, and atheists, Saudi Arabia remains a hostile environment—but FIFA sees no issue handing them the greatest sporting event in the world.

Women in Saudi Arabia have gained minor freedoms in recent years, but this is lipstick on a pig. Saudi women are still subject to male guardianship laws, restricting their ability to travel, marry, or live freely. Meanwhile, LGBTQ+ individuals are openly persecuted. Homosexuality isn’t just frowned upon in Saudi Arabia—it’s illegal, punishable by prison, lashings, or worse. How does FIFA reconcile this with its so-called “inclusivity”? Simple: they don’t. They just cash the check and move on.

And then there’s the issue of alcohol—or rather, the total absence of it. In Saudi Arabia, alcohol is completely banned under Sharia, with severe punishments for those caught consuming or possessing it. FIFA’s long-time sponsor, Budweiser, is now caught in a moral and logistical dilemma. FIFA sources have confirmed there is “no question” of alcohol being sold in stadiums, even a decade before the tournament begins. Unlike the World Cup in Qatar in 2022—where beer sales were initially permitted in some hotels and fan zones before being banned in stadiums—Saudi Arabia offers no such compromises. Alcohol sales remain strictly forbidden, with one store in Riyadh selling it only under severe restrictions to non-Muslim diplomats.

The agenda reveals itself: to impose Sharia demands onto iconic Western cultural events. The World Cup is supposed to be a festival of global unity, yet fans will be forced to abide by draconian Islamic restrictions. FIFA’s financial dependence on Saudi Arabia makes its silence on this issue deafening. With Aramco’s £320m sponsorship deal and Saudi investments in global football streaming rights, FIFA clearly values Saudi oil money over fan freedoms.

Western Complicity and Hypocrisy

The West’s response to Saudi Arabia’s hosting is as hypocritical as it gets. Nations that preach human rights and equality are bending over backward to accommodate the Saudis. Corporations that virtue signal endlessly about diversity are already preparing their sponsorship bids. The same leaders who lecture their citizens about tolerance and inclusion now turn a blind eye to a regime where a man can be executed for leaving Islam.

Where is the outrage? Where are the politicians standing up for human rights? Silent. Cowed. Bought. Or worse, active participants in the destruction of Western individualism. Instead, they’ll sell you platitudes about ‘building bridges’ and ‘engagement’ while funding a regime that represents the polar opposite of Western freedoms.

Meanwhile, the influence of Islamic regimes isn’t limited to Saudi Arabia alone. Western football teams are being systematically bought and controlled by Middle Eastern governments. Clubs that were once symbols of European culture and national pride have become tools of Islamic nations eager to expand their influence. Manchester City, owned by Abu Dhabi; Paris Saint-Germain, owned by Qatar; Newcastle United, bought by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund—these are just the beginning. Under the guise of investments and sponsorships, they infiltrate beloved clubs, transforming them into vehicles for Islamic propaganda and cultural dominance.

This isn’t mere business. It’s a calculated strategy—a Trojan horse to destabilize the cultural backbone of the West through its most cherished sport. Fans cheer for their teams while ignoring who owns them, blinded by flashy transfers and hollow success. FIFA and its enablers have sold out football not only to money but to forces that are ideologically opposed to the freedoms and values Western nations were built upon.

With almost one billion dollars a day flowing in from oil revenues, the Saudi Kingdom doesn’t need military might to dominate geopolitics. Instead, it buys influence—constructing a one-way bridge for Islam that extends into the West unchecked. This is how the Saudis reshape global power dynamics, not through force but through financial conquest.

Sportswashing: A Shameful Reality

Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the World Cup is nothing more than blatant sportswashing. It’s a calculated move to launder its global image—to distract the world from its medieval Islamic laws [Sharia] and human rights abuses with glitzy stadiums and star-studded tournaments. And it’s working. Instead of condemnation, Saudi Arabia is being rewarded with praise and prestige.

FIFA’s spineless appeasement reveals its priorities: Budweiser kegs can be sacrificed, sponsors sidelined, and fans silenced—all to maintain Saudi Arabia’s financial support. Even as the global football community watched Qatar’s fiasco in 2022, FIFA refuses to learn.

But make no mistake: this is not about love for the game. It’s about power. It’s about influence. And FIFA, as always, is only too happy to play the puppet.

The Moral Bankruptcy of FIFA and Its Enablers

FIFA has long been a cesspool of corruption, but this decision reaches new depths of moral bankruptcy. By choosing Saudi Arabia, FIFA has abandoned any pretense of standing for inclusivity, equality, or human dignity. Worse still, the enablers in Western governments, media, and corporations are complicit.

Where is the line? If this doesn’t cross it, nothing will. Are we so cowardly, so addicted to oil money and sponsorship deals, that we’re willing to celebrate in a nation where women are still second-class citizens, where religious minorities hide in fear, and where freedom of speech is a crime?

The world’s biggest sporting event should unite us, not legitimize regimes that stand against everything the West claims to believe in. By giving the World Cup to Saudi Arabia, FIFA has sold out not just football but the very principles of liberty and equality that made the game what it is.

A Line Must Be Drawn

Enough is enough. Western nations, fans, and corporations must reject this travesty. Refuse to attend. Boycott the sponsors. Call out this disgrace for what it is: a betrayal of everything we stand for. The 2034 World Cup is not a celebration of football—it’s a monument to cowardice, hypocrisy, and the moral decay of those too weak to stand up to an oppressive regime.

Saudi Arabia doesn’t deserve the World Cup, and anyone supporting this charade—be it FIFA, corporations, or complicit governments—doesn’t deserve our respect or support.
