An FBI Assistant Special Agent in Charge, Alethea Duncan, has been temporarily “reassigned” after publicly dismissing the New Year’s Day Islamic jihad attack in New Orleans as “not a terrorist event.” The attack—a deliberate vehicle ramming that claimed 15 lives—has since been widely recognized as an act of Islamic terror.

While Duncan’s reassignment is being celebrated as a step toward accountability, it raises a critical question: how can FBI agents recognize Islamic terrorism when the tools and training to do so have been systematically dismantled and whitewashed? The real failure isn’t Duncan—it’s an administration that prioritizes Muslim feelings and political correctness over national security, leaving agents blind to the threats they’re supposed to stop.”
Duncan’s reassignment is nothing more than a cheap distraction designed to shift attention away from the systemic failures engineered by the Biden administration and the Democratic Party. The real question isn’t why Duncan failed—it’s why the FBI keeps repeating these failures. Why would Duncan—or any FBI agent—be equipped to recognize Islamic terrorism when the FBI’s own training manuals have been scrubbed of truth?
This administration and past Democat leaders have actively collaborated with Hamas-linked CAIR and other jihadist-aligned groups to erase terms like “jihadist” and “radical Islamist” from intelligence materials, leaving agents blind to the ideological roots of global terrorism. Duncan’s public dismissal of the New Orleans attack as “not a terrorist event” was predictable—not because of her personal incompetence, but because the system has been rigged to fail. This isn’t ignorance—it’s sabotage.
A History of Catastrophic FBI Failures
The FBI has repeatedly dropped the ball when it comes to identifying and stopping Islamic terrorists. These failures aren’t isolated—they’re the direct result of policies that put feelings above facts:
- Tamerlan Tsarnaev (Boston Marathon Bombing): Russian intelligence warned the FBI in 2011 that Tsarnaev was a radical Islamic threat. The FBI closed the case, and two years later, Tsarnaev bombed the Boston Marathon, killing 3 and maiming 264.
- Nidal Hasan (Fort Hood Shooting): Hasan openly praised jihad and communicated with al-Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki. The FBI knew but dismissed the evidence as “research.” Hasan later killed 13 and injured 30, shouting “Allahu Akbar” as he opened fire.
- Omar Mateen (Pulse Nightclub Shooting): Mateen pledged allegiance to ISIS during his attack. The FBI had previously interviewed him over links to extremists but failed to act. He killed 49 people in 2016.
- San Bernardino Attack: Tashfeen Malik posted pro-jihad propaganda online before receiving a U.S. visa. The FBI ignored this, thanks to Obama-era policies restricting scrutiny of Muslims’ social media. Malik and her husband killed 14 Americans.
- Garland, TX Attack: FBI agents monitored Elton Simpson, a known jihadist, but failed to stop him from attacking a “Draw Muhammad” event. An undercover FBI agent even encouraged him, then stood by as Simpson carried out his attack.
Why does the FBI consistently fail to stop Islamic terrorism? Because under Robert Mueller, the FBI purged training materials deemed “offensive” to Muslims. These materials were replaced with politically correct nonsense that ignores the reality of jihadist ideology. Biden’s administration has made it even worse, banning words like “jihadist” altogether.

A System Designed to Fail
This isn’t a bug in the system—it’s the system working as designed. The FBI has been infiltrated and compromised, trading truth for appeasement. Groups like CAIR, with documented ties to Hamas, have been allowed to dictate counterterrorism policy. Terms like “jihadist” and “radical Islamist” are off-limits, while agents are left untrained and ill-equipped to identify the very threats they’re supposed to stop.
The American People Deserve Better
Alethea Duncan is a symptom, not the disease. The Biden administration’s refusal to name Islam as the ideological driver of global terrorism is killing Americans. This attack in New Orleans wasn’t an isolated tragedy—it was the inevitable result of a government that has abandoned its duty to protect its citizens.
We don’t need scapegoats; we need accountability. Purge the FBI of Islamic influence. Restore truthful language in counterterrorism. Cut ties with Islamic terror-tied groups like CAIR and ISNA. And most importantly, stop pretending that Islamic terrorism isn’t what it is.
The New Orleans attack is a wake-up call. But will anyone in power finally listen?
