An Islamic terrorist attack has sent shockwaves through the Christian community following a brutal stabbing incident targeting Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel during his sermon at Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley around 7:15 PM local time (9:15 AM GMT).

The assailant, identified as a 15-year-old male bearded jihadi speaking in Arabic, launched a frenzied attack on the Assyrian Bishop, stabbing him multiple times while shouting “Allahu Akbar.” Three other Christians were also stabbed by the terrorist known to police while trying to protect the beloved Bishop.

The severity of the situation prompted the deployment of over 100 officers to manage the ensuing unrest as a large crowd gathered outside the church, demanding that the suspected attacker be brought out.

A journalist, Ian Miles Cheon, on X, reports that the terrorist was saying in Arabic: “Why is he swearing at my prophet? I wouldn’t have come here if he didn’t bring my religion into this.”

In July 2021, at the peak of the pandemic, he described lockdown restrictions as “mass slavery,” contending that the risks posed by COVID-19 had been “exaggerated” and that vaccines were unnecessary because people’s natural immune systems would combat the virus.

The media’s focus has shifted away from discussing the threat Islam poses to non-Islamic communities, particularly the Christian and Jewish communities in Australia. Instead, they have attempted to discredit the Bishop and his congregants. The media’s narrative paints a distorted picture, labeling the Bishop’s followers as violent and attributing a “near-riot” to them for protesting the attack, despite the fact that it was they who subdued the jihadi without causing harm.

The media fails to mention Quranic verses such as Qur’an 47:4, which justifies attacks on unbelievers with the directive to “strike the necks” when encountered.
