Austrian police warned Wednesday of a possible Islamic attack in Vienna by a Muslim Syrian terrorist cell. The threat is reportedly aimed at the compatriots who fled to Austria to escape the war and dictator Bashar al-Assad.
According to the Directorate for State Security and Intelligence (DSN), they were to be murdered during a visit to Mass because they did not go into battle as holy warriors for jihad.
To ensure security, there are, therefore, more police officers – district forces, WEGA and Cobra – on duty, the police said. “The monitoring is a precautionary measure,” emphasizing that this is a standard process in such scenarios.
Churches in close contact with the police
The Austrian police have warned of an attack on places of worship in Vienna, especially churches. However, there have not been any closures or cancellations of services yet, said the Archdiocese of Vienna. The Catholic Church is in close contact with the police. “We know that there will be more controls,” said Michael Prüller, spokesman for the Archdiocese of Vienna.
Vienna’s cathedral priest Toni Faber expressed his gratitude to the police and security authorities “that they have the situation under control and have taken appropriate security measures.”
Emanuel Aydin, the founder of the Syrian Orthodox Church in Austria, says he has not yet had direct contact with the police. However, officials were in the vicinity of his church in Favoriten and spoke to members of the community. The church is still open.
Bishop Gabriel of the Coptic Orthodox Church confirmed to the Ö1 “Mittagsjournal” that they had been informed of a threat.
Threat to other houses of worship
Later on Wednesday, Vienna police clarified in another tweet that the threat warning included not just churches but also other houses of worship.
“Our precaution measures don’t exclusively affect Christian churches, but also houses of worship of various confessions,” police tweeted. They did not specify which other religious communities could be affected.
AP News reports that over half of Austria’s population is Roman Catholic, making it the country’s most prominent religious denomination. There are also smaller communities of Lutheran Christians and immigrant groups that identify as Orthodox Christians, Muslims, and Jews.
Armed Forces: “Forces sensitized.”
Defense Ministry spokesman Colonel Michael Bauer said the Armed Forces were initially not called upon to assist. “Our forces, who routinely guard the embassies, are sensitized.” A local inspection in the city center only revealed a slightly increased police presence.
It is unclear how long the churches will be guarded due to the “increased risk of Islamist-motivated attacks.”
“There are also high-risk threats in Austria.”
Austrian news reports that the head of the Directorate for State Security and Intelligence, Omar Haijawi-Pirchner, said on Tuesday that even after the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) had been largely defeated, there was still a threat from Islamic forces. From observing relevant networks, one sees “Islamists who could commit attacks in Europe,” said Haijawi-Pirchner. In addition, there are also “high-risk individuals” in Austria.
Haijawi-Pirchner distinguished three groups of people in Austria who pose a threat: Individuals often radicalized on the Internet, born between 1995 and 2010, and acting on social media channels such as TikTok and Instagram. There is also a second group that also uses social media but also visits relevant mosques and bars. The last group consists of adult men, often born in Austria, who are very closely networked with each other and act conspiratorially.
In 2020, a Muslim who had previously tried to join the Islamic State group went on a rampage in Vienna armed with an automatic rifle and a fake explosive vest, shooting four people dead before police killed him.

From robertmalone web site:
“For the past fifty years, George Soros (1930- ) has been influencing politics, societal norms and has acted to change policy on the world stage. He one of the earliest supporters of the WEF and worked hard to establish the European Union. But who is George Soros and what is he up to now?”
Rather than me writing a backgrounder on the man, below is his approved WEF bio together with links to the Open Society Foundation, which is the organization that he founded and has led for the past forty years. Which he has funded to the tune of 18 billion US dollars (so far).
Founder and chair of Soros Fund Management and the Open Society Foundations. Born in Budapest in 1930, he survived the Nazi occupation during World War II and fled communist-dominated Hungary in 1947 for England, where he graduated from the London School of Economics. He then settled in the United States, where he accumulated a large fortune through the international investment fund he founded and managed.”
What a pity that world’s terrorist leader did survive the Nazi occupation!
Well, this is why the foreign Nazis mass-imported them!
Hysterical!
They allowed their Homeland to be invaded!
They LET Satans Children mass-import the criminals!
