This past Saturday afternoon violent riots broke out in the center of the Belgian city of Liège after a marxist Black Lives Matter (BLM) demonstration. Hundreds of radicals looted shops, attacked the police, and damaged buildings. Ten rioters were arrested and at least 36 officers were injured.
Watch the following video report on the riot:
The demonstration came after a Congolese woman was arrested by police. The woman not only resisted arrest but physically assaulted authorities last Monday in Place Saint-Lambert. A video of the arrest was shared on social media without any context, which provoked anti-police BLM radicals,
See the following video of police arresting the woman:
The unrest started around 4 p.m. when a group of young BLM activists attacked a motorcycle cop. The officer was injured and had to be taken to the hospital. After the attack, the situation escalated quickly, hundreds of radicals split up into small groups and spread throughout the city. They threw stones at officers, and targeted a police station. In addition, the radicals attacked city hall, and destroyed restaurants and shops. Garbage cans were also set on fire and windows were smashed.
The police deployed additional units and water cannons, the public was asked to avoid the city center. Retailers were also asked to close their businesses. During confrontations between the rioters and the police, rioters threw stones, glass bottles, traffic signs and shoes; the police responded with the use of tear gas. The unrest lasted for hours, but around 8 p.m., order was restored in the city.
This past January, RAIR Foundation USA reported on violent riots led by BLM and Islamic supremacists that broke out in Brussels after the death of Ibrahim, a migrant in Police custody.
The migrant was filming police enforcing coronavirus lockdown measures at a train station. Ibrahim refused to comply with police and their requests to stop filming. Ibrahim fled the scene, but was captured by police and shortly after died, possibly of a heart attack at the station due to drugs he ingested.

Heavy riot in Liege: Two hundred hotheads plunder shops and pelt police.
In Liege, a Black Lives Matter protest took place, which began peacefully.
The cause was a forceful arrest of an African woman earlier this week.
And at a certain moment two officers came on motorcycles, and from behind came a group of youths dressed completely in black, and they aggressively hit one of the officers.
The officer fell to the ground and was lying under his motorcycle.
So we were standing there in the middle, and we didn’t know what happened.
But the youths were very angry, and they began throwing stones at the people.
The officer had to be taken by ambulance to a hospital.
Earlier the police station and police cars were pelted with stones.
Subsequently, it quickly got out of hand.
Several shops were plundered, and street furniture was damaged.
I came outside Delhaize, and they were everywhere, dressed in black with caps and backpacks, but everywhere, really. And then they attacked the poor police officer who was directing traffic.
They hit him dozens of time, the poor man.
It is shameful! —It is disgraceful! —Residents were advised to remain inside until peace was restored.
I called the police, and they began to hit me because I called the police.
They went crazy; they don’t think about the well-being of others.
The police are at the scene en masse and also deploy the water cannon.
About ten officers are reported to be injured.
