UPDATE By Vlad Tepes June 2024…
The Helen Grus hearings continue to use every possible tactic to convict, including locking out her lawyer
In what was supposed to be the final week of the Helen Grus hearings, more astonishing tactics were employed against the defendant, Ottawa Police Detective Helen Grus.
At one point, the prosecution suggested that the hearing would be better served if they continued without her lawyer in the room. In fact, they also locked all media out at one point during the week. Please see this Tweet from journalist Jason Lavigne, who attended the hearings all week:
Folks,

To be very clear, this is how @OttawaPolice were protecting themselves from the truth of Det. Helen Grus getting out.
The public, the media (myself included), and even defence counsel Bath-Shebia van den Berg herself were locked out.

The process itself is so clearly flawed that frustration was evident on the faces of the people in the hearing room, which was well attended by journalists from The Rebel, Robert Kraychik, Jason Lavigne, and a writer from True North.
RAIR Foundation attended some of the sessions during what was to be the final week of hearings but will now reconvene in December of this year for yet another week.
We caught up with Jason Lavigne on the opening day of the hearings this past week, May 27th. The following interview was done at the lunch break, which the hearings officer mysteriously decided would be the point at which they would adjourn for the day.
Jason explains how the prosecution kept the process contentious by arguing Helen’s right to examine her own notes from the dates where she was alleged to be insubordinate.
Much of the testimony on the 28th dealt with how Helen was treated because she did not wish to disclose her vaccine status.
At this point of the hearings, we are at least getting to the meat of the matter. Helen had reasons to suspect a potential connection between the unprecedented 7 deaths of breastfeeding babies over a couple of weeks and the mRNA injection status of the mothers.
Whatever the actual charges against Detective Grus, they appear to be about punishing anyone in a position of authority for daring to question the safety of the vaccines.
There was a great deal of support for Helen at the Hearings, including a woman pictured above, who some weeks before, had arranged a small protest on Parliament Hill to get signatures and statements of support for Helen.
She came to the hearings on May 27th to deliver the paper flowers, cards, statements, and signatures she had been collecting for weeks now on behalf of Detective Grus.
Below is the presentation at the hearings for Helen on Monday the 27th.
RAIR Foundation went to Parliament on May 13th, Mother’s Day, and spoke with Meela, who organized the tribute on May 13th, about why she created this initiative on behalf of Helen Grus.
Below, The Rebel’s Robert Kraychik offers an update on the hearings on the same day and includes some background on Helen, her responsibilities with the police, and why the charges make little sense.
Robert also details the curious choice of a hearings officer with zero legal training and a speech problem, which Robert likens to “hiring a midget to play in the NBA.”
As the hearings against Helen continue, one cannot help but wonder if the real purpose is that political authorities feel that should the public get wind of the idea that what was tantamount to mandatory experimental injections caused the deaths of babies, it could go very, very badly for them.
Update: March 24, 2024
In a new interview conducted by RAIR Foundation USA with retired Toronto Police Detective Donald Best, an in-depth discussion unfolds about the complex case involving Ottawa Police Detective Helen Grus. Best brings to light the prolonged legal proceedings against Detective Grus, who is under scrutiny for her investigation into a series of infant deaths and their potential link to the Pfizer vaccine. These proceedings have extended into a second year, a duration that Best highlights as unusually long for what appears on the surface to be a straightforward and normally minor police hearing.
The situation gains a new dimension as the Canadian Parliament, prompted by Conservative Party Member of Parliament Cathy Wagantall, decides to delve deeper into the police services’ actions concerning Detective Grus. Wagantall’s query on the parliamentary order paper suggests she might have inside information from a whistleblower. Her question targets the Federal Government of Canada and health agencies, probing whether they attempted to influence or communicate with Ottawa Police regarding Grus’ investigation into the vaccine’s connection with sudden infant deaths.
Detective Grus faces a tribunal where she is charged with one count of discreditable conduct, an internal charge under the Police Services Act rather than a criminal charge. A critical hearing is scheduled for March 25, 2024, during which Grus’ defense team plans to challenge prosecutor Vanessa Stewart’s involvement due to alleged misconduct and conflict of interest.
Donald Best highlights the broader implications of this case, including allegations of governmental and health agency interference in the investigation, potential intimidation and obstruction of justice, and the ethical quandaries posed by prosecutor Vanessa Stewart’s involvement, whose sister-in-law is a primary witness in the case.
This unfolding scenario underscores concerns about the integrity of legal and institutional processes in Canada, particularly regarding sensitive investigations into public health matters. The formal parliamentary inquiry initiated by MP Wagantall demands government accountability and transparency, with responses required within 45 days. This inquiry could reveal deeper layers of influence and conflict surrounding the investigation into infant deaths and vaccine safety, highlighting the ongoing struggle for truth and accountability in public health and law enforcement.

Update: January 10-11, 2024
In an astonishing turn of events during the third week of hearings for Ottawa Police Detective Helen Grus, who faces charges of improper conduct related to her investigations into a series of infant deaths and their possible connection to the Pfizer Vaccine, retired Toronto Police Detective Donald Best has boldly stated that ‘The fix is in,’ echoing concerns shared by many observers.
However, on Wednesday, January 10th, these concerns reached an alarming climax.
The hearings came to an abrupt halt when Helen Grus’s defense team revealed a deeply troubling revelation: the defendant herself had received a threatening letter from a senior member of the Ottawa Police, explicitly warning her against testifying about certain crucial documents vital for her own defense. This shocking development transcends the already concerning aspects of the trial and constitutes a grave crime in its own right.

To put this into perspective, in ordinary circumstances, these revelations would likely have led to an immediate dismissal of all charges. But the proceedings have been anything but ordinary. Donald Best, who has been closely following the hearings in Kanata, a West end suburb of Ottawa, listed a series of malfeasance and breaches of trial procedures that had already raised serious questions.
In a video update, Donald Best elaborated on the events of January 10th, explaining how a high-ranking member of the Ottawa Police, one with a law degree no less, sent a ‘threatening’ email to Detective Grus. This unprecedented interference prompted the court to convene for emergency meetings within the prosecution, resulting in the suspension of all proceedings until the afternoon of the 11th. The morning session was completely canceled as the Ottawa Police grappled with the gravity of this matter.
The ongoing trial of Detective Helen Grus has taken a dark and convoluted turn, with allegations of bias, external influences, and now, threats against the defendant herself. These developments cast a long shadow over the trial’s fairness and integrity, drawing increased attention from concerned observers.
Update: December 11, 2023
In a recent follow-up interview, retired Toronto Police Detective Donald Best provided RAIR Foundation USA with an update on the ongoing trial of Detective Helen Grus from the Ottawa Police Service’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (SACA):
Update: November 3rd, 2023
In a recent interview with retired Toronto Police Detective Donald Best, the ongoing trial of Detective Helen Grus from the Ottawa Police Service’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (SACA) was discussed in detail. The interview sheds light on a trial characterized by chaos, allegations of misconduct, and a potential conflict of interest that has raised eyebrows.
The hearings, as described by Best, have been tumultuous, with the court appearing to be out of control. According to Best, the prosecutor, Vanessa Stewart, has been using objections as a tactic effectively to hinder the defense from presenting its case. The chaos, however, extends beyond procedural issues, delving into the heart of the trial’s subject matter.
Detective Grus is charged with a provincial offense under discreditable conduct, as per the Police Services Act of Ontario. The charge stems from allegations that Grus conducted unauthorized investigations into the potential connection between mRNA vaccines, vaccinated mothers, and the sudden unexpected deaths of breastfeeding infants. Best emphasizes that Grus was merely exploring the possibility without drawing any conclusions.
However, the trial took a startling turn when it was revealed that Prosecutor Vanessa Stewart is the sister-in-law of one of the chief prosecution witnesses, Detective Stewart. This revelation, deemed a serious conflict of interest by many, shocked the audience and journalists present. Despite the conflict, the trial continued, with Vanessa Stewart facing accusations of improperly interfering in the cross-examination of her sister-in-law.
Further complicating matters, Grus is accused of having her own investigative notes withheld from her by the trials officer, a move that the defense views as a serious denial of due process. The trial’s proceedings, marred by objections and conflict, have led to questions about the impartiality of the legal process.
Best contends that the situation has escalated to the point where, in a criminal court, the case might have been thrown out, and both the prosecutor and judge would have faced investigations by their respective professional oversight bodies. He describes the trial as a farce, expressing concern that it may ultimately lead to higher courts.
Additionally, the interview touches upon the involvement of CBC reporter Shaamini Yogaretnam, who allegedly directed the Ottawa police investigation and threatened them with an imminent article. Best claims that the CBC controlled the narrative, influencing the police’s actions in the process.
As the trial heads into a hiatus until January 8, 2023, the defense awaits an opportunity to present expert witnesses. The prosecution, however, has signaled reluctance to entertain evidence related to the lethality or adverse effects of the vaccines, raising questions about the trial’s commitment to discovering the truth.
In the eyes of Detective Donald Best, the trial of Detective Helen Grus has become a contentious and convoluted legal spectacle with serious implications for the justice system and the pursuit of truth.
Editor’s note:
It is crucial for everyone to grasp a key aspect of this trial: Detective Grus, currently facing a discreditable conduct charge for probing whether mothers of deceased infants received experimental mRNA/DNA gene therapy shots—known for causing infant deaths—employed identical methodology to successfully solve a previously cold rape case.
Detective Grus earned accolades from her department for resolving the cold rape case, indicating that the issue at hand in this investigation appears to be more political than methodological. As highlighted by Detective (Ret.) Best above, this situation carries implications for the entire landscape of policing, both presently and in the future.

Update: Monday, October 30, 2023
In a recent interview conducted by RAIR Foundation USA, retired Toronto Police Detective Donald Best sheds light on the ongoing trial of Detective Helen Grus from the Ottawa Police Service’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (SACA). The trial has garnered significant attention due to its contentious nature, raising questions about the role of policing and the challenges faced by officers who seek to fulfill their duty with integrity.
The trial resumed after a six-week break on October 30, 2023, following a previous session in August, which was adjourned for unknown reasons for over nine weeks. The charges against Detective Grus involve one count of discreditable conduct under the Police Services Act, stemming from her initiation of an investigation into a potential link between vaccinated breastfeeding mothers and sudden infant deaths that occurred in January 2022. Despite supporting medical evidence and reports corroborating her concerns, she faces potential dismissal if found guilty of discreditable conduct for starting the investigation.
During the trial, testimony from Detective Butcher, one of Detective Grus’s colleagues, revealed a dismissive attitude toward her investigations and skepticism regarding any possible connection between vaccines and infant deaths. Additionally, text messages crucial to the case appear to have been either deleted or gone missing, further complicating the proceedings. The officers’ bias, due to their own vaccination status, casts doubt on their impartiality.
The case takes a political turn when it is revealed that in September 2021, higher-ups within the Ottawa Police Service ordered a ban on discussing vaccines within the unit responsible for investigating sudden infant deaths. This directive hampers the investigation and raises concerns about the independence and objectivity of law enforcement agencies.
Another disturbing revelation during the trial is the denial of access to Detective Grus’s own handwritten notes made during her investigations. These notes are considered crucial pieces of evidence in her defense, but their unavailability raises questions about the transparency and fairness of the proceedings.
The defense has filed motions to have Detective Grus’s memo books returned to her and to dismiss the case due to an abuse of procedure. However, the trial supervisor, Superintendent Chris Renwick, denied the request to hear the motion, further fueling claims of bias within the proceedings.
The trial also takes a concerning turn when it is revealed that the prosecutor and one of the prosecution’s primary witnesses are related by marriage, suggesting a potential conflict of interest that would be unacceptable in a criminal court setting.
The implications of Detective Grus’s trial extend beyond her individual case. It raises questions about the role of dutiful police officers who seek to fulfill their oath and investigative duties with integrity. Is political control, corporate influence, and fear of repercussions stifling the ability of officers to perform their duty objectively and without undue influence?
Update: Friday: August 18
In an exclusive interview with RAIR Foundation USA, retired Toronto Police Detective Donald Best unveils the shocking courtroom events of Friday, August 18. Both the prosecution and the designated judge exhibited bewildering tactics during the hearing, as described by Best.
An additional exclusive interview transpired on Friday, August 18th, subsequent to the hearing. The interview featured Canadian physician Dr. Mary O’Connor, who recounted a series of distressing incidents involving harassment and targeted actions by the Ontario College of Surgeons and Physicians. These actions were aimed at undermining her professional reputation and included illicit attempts to access her patient records.
Dr. O’Connor expounded upon the striking parallels between her own harrowing experiences and those of Detective Helen Grus, who valiantly pursued an inquiry into the fatalities of nine infants. Furthermore, she elucidated the resonance between the challenges encountered by medical professionals who have chosen to question the prevailing state narrative regarding the Covid “vaccines” and associated Covid measures.
————————————————–
In a startling and controversial case that has captured the attention of the nation, Detective Helen Grus of the Ottawa Police Service’s Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (SACA) finds herself at the center of a trial that has ignited a firestorm of debate and allegations of a cover-up. Grus’s investigation into a potential link between COVID-19 vaccines and sudden infant deaths (SIDS) has led to a cascade of events that raise questions about her motives, the influence of external agencies, and the integrity of her police force.
Between June 2020 and January 2022, Detective Grus, within her professional jurisdiction, examined a cluster of nine infant deaths that occurred within a condensed time frame. In September 2021, as vaccine mandates were introduced, Grus’s proactive approach led her to inquire whether the police force could be held accountable for vaccine-related injuries resulting from the mandates. This inquiry, which aligned with her duty to ensure public safety, may have inadvertently triggered the cascade of events that followed.
Grus’s concern was ignited by an alarming spike in sudden infant deaths, deviating significantly from the norm. While the SACA unit usually handles 2 to 3 infant deaths per year, the year 2021 witnessed a staggering total of seven such deaths, sending off alarm bells for Grus. Determined to unveil potential connections between these tragedies and COVID-19 vaccines, she ventured beyond her assigned cases.
In a recent interview with RAIR Foundation USA, retired Toronto Police Detective Donald Best emphasized the importance of officers initiating investigations to prevent undue political interference. Best viewed Grus’s actions as a diligent attempt to uphold her responsibilities as a police officer and protect the community from potential dangers.
However, controversy intensified as it came to light that the Public Health Agency of Canada might have influenced the police’s handling of Grus’s investigation. This allegation raised concerns of conflicts of interest and external manipulation, given the agency’s role in approving and mandating the COVID-19 vaccine.
Grus’s proactive approach extended to updating the SIDS questionnaire used by her unit, incorporating inquiries about COVID-19 mRNA injections. Her intent was to ensure comprehensive data collection, including information on vaccine-related adverse events. Grus believed this was an essential aspect of her duty to safeguard public health.
Further complicating matters, Grus found herself suspended from duty shortly after she began accumulating evidence related to her investigation. Coincidentally, her suspension occurred during the Freedom Convoy, a significant protest against COVID-19 vaccine mandates that gained prominence in Ottawa. This sequence of events prompted speculation regarding the potential political motivations behind her suspension.
The internal trial now facing Grus has drawn global attention as it deviates from a traditional criminal trial and occurs within the confines of the Ottawa Police Service. Despite her actions aligning with her job description, the consequences of the trial could be substantial, including termination or fines.
Critics of the situation argue that the case underscores a potential cover-up surrounding Grus’s investigation into the infant deaths. A significant point of contention is the alleged illegal surveillance of Detective Grus and her family, involving their electronic communications, phone records, social media accounts, and text messaging applications. The questionable legality of these wiretaps raises concerns about potential motives behind such actions.
As the hearings commenced at an Ottawa Police Station hearing room in the western part of the city, the eyes of the nation remain fixated on the proceedings. The trial of Detective Helen Grus embodies not only a debate about the limits of investigative pursuit by police officers but also broader questions about transparency, accountability, and potential external influences within the law enforcement community.
The trial is expected to last until at least Friday of this week. Its outcome will undoubtedly carry significant implications, serving as a precedent for permissible investigations by authorities not only in Canada but also potentially across North America. This trial transcends the fate of one officer; it speaks to the very legality of uncovering the truth, especially in matters as grave as the deaths of children.
Amid the trial’s proceedings, supporters of Detective Grus have gathered to hold a prayer session on her behalf, underscoring the weight and importance of the trial’s outcome.
“The families of four people who died from COVID-19 are suing EcoHealth Alliance, a nonprofit group that funded research in Wuhan, China, for allegedly “creating” the virus and “releasing it, either intentionally or accidentally.” ”

She sounds like a good investigator. Proactive police work is something that used to be encouraged. Of course, many things have ruined a career in law enforcement. Politics, racial hiring quotas, and affirmative action to name a few. This type of treatment will further discourage merit based hiring, and lead to underwhelming medicocrity. Shows you how the corrupt and evil people control the narrative. Remember, God Almighty knows what is in each person’s heart. And will judge accordingly.
Never underestimate the power of prayer. I pray she is not persecuted by the wicked and evil, that sell out their fellow colleagues. Disgraceful!
Many vaxxed videos point out how parents are targets of investigations instead of the vaccines when anything goes wrong (autism, sudden death, other medical problems). One can find interviews of parents, some of which are in the medical and scientific community, that had their lives changed terribly when they were accused of killing their children when it was obviously not the case but instead was the vaccine. Any vaccine is dangerous. People have been deceived.
Now, this story pulls in another direction. Any authority investigating c-19 deaths are targeted if they say c-19 is the cause of death. Had the investigation instead said it was the parents, the police detective would have no trial.
Lying is a sin. May God bless them for daring to speak the truth.
I would have liked the article to say more about the children that died, age etc and what the investigations found.
Canada has become an Orwellian police state where people are legally persecuted for thought crimes. The gulags will come next unless Canadians take back their government.
Propaganda now outweighs truth in just about every aspect of mainstream media and government policy. The ability to mind control people is very real, and so pervasive, this is now the status quo. Now repeat after me until you believe this statement; Safe AND Effective. Any dissenters face penalty from the state. Pay no attention to a lifetimes worth of evidence proving vaccination harm and industry capture by pharmasuetical industries. People on both sides of this issue are lost to the narrative, as if they have to pretend they’re scientists or prove anything, just to make their own autonomous medical decisions. Who actually owns their bodies? Who actually owns their minds? Certainly on both sides, they have lost control. Logic has left the building. What a colossal waste of human resources. Of course the vaccine was dangerous, that’s why the babies died. I will close with this; There is no such thing as a safe vaccine.
