Over the last 15 years, Douglas Murray has distinguished himself as one of the foremost and forthright British commentators on Islam. In recent times, he has emerged as a frequent contributor to Conservative media platforms and currently serves as a regular journalist for the New York Post. Presently residing in New York City, it appears uncertain whether his views have made him less welcome in Britain.
In a recent video discussion with English podcaster Chris Williamson, Murray delved into the intricacies of the latest wave in social justice, providing thought-provoking perspectives on the ridiculous ‘Gays for Gaza’ trend and the evolving landscape of oppression.
“Murray voiced his frustration with what he perceives as fringe and narcissistic elements within the social justice movement. By drawing a parallel between certain activist trends and what he sees as incompatible affiliations, Murray underscored the challenges of navigating conflicting ideologies.
His blunt remark, ‘Well, the joke at the moment is there aren’t enough tall buildings in Gaza to throw Gays for Gaza off,’ immediately sparked debate. Further expressing his discontent, Murray, who is gay himself, likened the advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights in the context of Gaza to what he considers incongruous affiliations.
“I’ve often said that these instances are part of the same phenomenon as turkeys for Christmas and chickens for KFC. I’m weary of these fringe cases; they seem so defective and incredibly narcissistic,” Murray emphasized, questioning the coherence of simultaneously supporting a two-state solution and LGBTQ+ rights.
The discussion extended to the puzzling nature of slogans such as “Reproductive Justice means Free Palestine.” Murray probed the depth of understanding behind such statements, highlighting the irony of advocating for reproductive rights in a region where abortions are restricted. Notably, he pointed out that many Palestinians must go to Israel to access the abortions they seek.
Murray sharply criticized what he views as the misguided perspective of some young Americans who have been indoctrinated into a peculiar worldview. According to him, these individuals believe that all forms of oppression are interconnected, forcing individuals to align either with the majority or minority on specific issues. Murray highlighted the irony that even if someone identifies as queer, they may be pressured to conform to a particular narrative.
He expressed dismay at the selective application of terms like “colonizers” and “apartheid” to various global situations. According to Murray, this oversimplification stems from an attempt to impose a specific version of American racial politics onto the rest of the world. He pointed out the inconsistency in labeling Israelis as colonizers while avoiding similar terminology for immigrants in Britain. In his critique, Murray emphasized the danger of this selective mapping, asserting that it ultimately fails to accurately capture the complexities of different global scenarios. Despite his disagreement with this perspective, he expressed a somewhat sardonic wish that those adhering to it remain blissfully ignorant, as he believes confronting the inadequacy of their worldview would be a harsh revelation.
Murray reflected on how the internet exploits hypocrisy as a powerful tool, drawing parallels to a “spot the difference” game. He acknowledged human inconsistency but questioned the overemphasis on it, asserting that people are allowed to evolve. Murray contended that while hypocrisy is easily detectable, there are graver moral lapses, such as failing to stand up for one’s values or loved ones in challenging situations.
The video concluded with a reflection on the importance of respecting individuals’ principles, even when disagreements persist. Murray praised the bravery of those who stand up for their beliefs, acknowledging the personal costs they often bear.
Most of the queers protesting are low I.Q. useless idiots, dope addicts, and paid protesters. Homosexual people have a big dope problem, and being paid to lay about and protest with printed signs is easy money($1,500 a day). Add that to their welfare money, and it’s a wonder more don’t overdose.
Islamos will always persecute the homosexuals. They also do it(sodomy)themselves. I take neither side. However, unlike islamos the Christians are tolerant in the hope that sodomites will quit, Repent, and ask Christ for forgiveness. Then try and adhere to the straight behavior(many do this, and Thank God), which is the way God intended man and woman to behave. Go and read Romans in the Bible(KJV).
Colon-izers —Hahaha.
This old friend from UK and I would bet on futbol matches, way back. He would jokingly say, “oh you colonists.”Then I would say, “at least we are citizens and not subjects.”
People play the hokey-pokey-wokey game every day now. It divides, and makes people feud with each other. The political satanists do this alot now too —keeps the heat off them.
The people that advocate for tolerance and open borders are the problem. They don’t live in the bad areas where their stupid policies affect them as much as the regular working-class people. They really want the middle-class to disappear. Then it will be a neofeudalism style dystopia. An even more lopsided Haves vs. Have nots.
