Germany: Jews Are Under Attack!

Chancellor Angela Merkel has welcomed almost two million people from some of the most anti-Semitic countries in the world to immigrate to Germany. Jews living in fear, being attacked, threatened and murdered has been the result. If Europe doesn’t reverse the flow of refugees continually pouring into their countries, Jews, Christians, women, gays, and non-muslims will grow more unsafe.

Walking the streets of Berlin with a Jew —One on one! One! One against two! Being threatened with violence, right on the street. In Berlin we accompany Ben Salomo with a hidden camera. —These are scenes we filmed in Berlin with a hidden camera.
 
We take a walk with Ben Salomo. He professes his Jewish faith by wearing a kippah. He has already experienced a lot of hostility. —There are always people who try to downplay it by saying, “Oh, it’s not that bad!” Or they say that Jews are hysterical or something like that. I think it’s important to reveal this sort of thing and record the different kinds of reactions. In a shoe shop he is treated with hostility in Arabic.
 
—We are walking through Berlin-Wilmersdorf. A good middle-class area. The first place we go is a shoe shop. One of the two youths in the shop notices Ben’s kippah on his head. That one tell his friend about it. They speak Arabic. —“Son of a bitch!” “Say that to this donkey.”I think just it’s really sad, and then it can reach the next level. It goes from insults, malicious talk behind your back — loud verbal abuse can eventually lead even to physical attacks.
 
 Anti-Semitism in multicultural Berlin is a daily occurrence, despite its being a city characterized by various cultures and religions. I believe the right strategy is to wear more kippahs and other symbols of Judaism. That way the stares and gawking stop, because people get used to seeing it.

A good but also a courageous decision from Ben, so that hate and attacks no longer have a place in Germany.
