I was in the hospital; I was found with fractures, bruises, knife cuts, wounds. I have bruises on my back, I have bruises on my thigh, I have bruises everywhere. So it’s two Maghreb men who attacked me, who recognized me as Yohan Power, and who immediately insulted me, calling me racist, dirty faggot. And one of them even said, “We’re going to fuck a faggot tonight.”

Motivation Behind the Attack

They wanted to take me down; they succeeded. And in fact, they gave me blows to the back, to my thighs. I really thought I was going to die, and I said, “Please stop, stop.” And they were laughing, and then one of them started to take out a knife. It wasn’t a knife, it was like a Swiss knife, it’s a thing that you unfold. And he started to scratch me on my face.

Escape and Plea for Help

Power sustained severe injuries, including fractures, bruises, and knife wounds during the attack. At one point, one of the attackers produced a knife, escalating the violence further. He feared for his life and pleaded for them to stop.

He appealed to his followers for financial support to facilitate his relocation. “I really need your help because I’m in danger here,” he said, highlighting his vulnerability and the urgency of his situation. “I live in a place where I feel totally insecure.
