In an all-too-typical attack that should shine a spotlight on the dangers of America’s refugee resettlement policies, an Afghan national has once again been charged with a stabbing attack.
This time, the attempted murder was of his caseworker in Orion Township, Michigan. The attacker, 34-year-old Gul Nabi Rahmati, allegedly stabbed his caseworker, Zubair Mansuori, multiple times outside the victim’s home before attempting to assault another man who came to Mansuori’s aid. Both Rahmati and Mansuori are Afghan nationals residing in the United States, with Mansuori employed by Samaritas, a controversial nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting refugees resettle in America.
According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a 911 call about a man who had been stabbed multiple times. The suspect fled the scene but later surrendered to Dearborn Heights police. The victim, who survived the attack, underwent emergency surgery after suffering 20 cuts and stabs. He remains hospitalized but is now in stable condition. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard remarked on the severity of the attack and suggested that it may have had religious motivations, noting that the individuals involved belong to different sects within Afghanistan. Prosecutor Karen McDonald described the assault as “a heinous and seemingly unprovoked attack.”
Rahmati has been charged with assault with intent to murder and assault with a dangerous weapon. If convicted, he faces life imprisonment. Reports indicate that Rahmati, who was a client of Mansuori’s, is not cooperating with authorities and has obtained legal representation. The investigation continues as law enforcement seeks to uncover the full details behind the incident.
While authorities continue to investigate, the case is yet another in a giant pile of cases that demonstrate Islamic culture, and perhaps in particular, Afghanistan’s version of it is non-miscible with Western trust-based culture.
This tragic event is not an isolated anomaly but part of a broader pattern of violence that has plagued Europe daily and is overtaking America. Yet, organizations like Samaritas, responsible for resettling refugees, refuse to acknowledge the dangers of their policies. In response to this incident, Samaritas issued a defensive statement to local media, claiming, “It is important to emphasize that this situation is an isolated incident, as we have seen across decades of working with this population, refugees bring resilience, strength and valuable contributions to our communities, and our organization remains steadfast in its mission to support their successful resettlement.”
Such rhetoric epitomizes the irresponsible naivety of refugee resettlement advocates who prioritize an idealized narrative over the real-world consequences of importing individuals from nations steeped in conflict and incompatible ideologies. Instead of addressing the tangible risks to American communities, they hide behind platitudes and dismiss these violent acts as anomalies, despite mounting evidence to the contrary.
Afghan national Gul Nabi Rahmati’s alleged attack is emblematic of a deeper issue—the inherent risks of importing individuals from regions steeped in violence, intolerance, and, frankly, Islam.
Europe should have been all the warning the United States needed.
In Sweden, France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, and many other EU nations, Islamic migrants have contributed disproportionately to violent crime, particularly against women and religious minorities. Neighborhoods have been transformed into lawless enclaves where local police dare not tread, and terror attacks have become tragically commonplace. Are we willing to allow these horrors to replicate on American soil?
The media and left-wing politicians pretending that Americans are being “xenophobic” or “bigoted” to demand secure borders and rigorous vetting processes is costing lives. The violence stems from Middle Eastern and African Islamic migrant groups. Defending our nation against policies that erode its safety and cultural fabric is patriotic and necessary.
Now is the time to demand accountability from local leaders, reject misguided notions of “universal welcome,” and prioritize the safety and sovereignty of the United States above all else.
