On September 4th, Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada’s socialist New Democratic Party (NDP), publicly announced that he pulled the plug on his agreement with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. If Singh follows through, Trudeau’s government could finally collapse, triggering a new election and giving Canadians a long-awaited chance to oust him from power.

To clarify how this works, Trudeau’s government currently relies on the NDP’s support because it lacks a majority in Parliament. Poilievre announced on September 18th that he is officially calling for such a vote.

With over 400,000 signatures, her earlier petition showed just how fed up Canadians are with Trudeau. She attended the question periods in the House of Commons to ensure her voice was heard.
