Italy: Intoxicated Illegal Moroccan With Exhibitionist Tendencies Terrorizes a Church (Video)

An illegal Muslim disrupted a Mass in a church in Monza, Italy, last Sunday, shouting something in Arabic, then ranting against the works of art in the church, and eventually removing his clothes. The police were called, and the man was identified as a 55-year-old Moroccan citizen who was in Italy illegally and had a lengthy criminal record.

The incident occurred in the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene and Saint Theresa, located in the center of Monza. The parson, mother superior, and a nun called the police to report the presence of an agitated man in front of the altar, stopping the Mass from taking place.

Eyewitnesses report that the man began shouting in Arabic and then began to rant against the works of art in the church, lashing out at the statues and paintings. The officers, assisted by those present, managed to calm him down before he could remove his clothes.

After being taken to the police station to be identified, it turned out that they were dealing with an illegal immigrant who had a lengthy criminal record. His visa had already been revoked, and after ascertaining that he was a danger to public safety, the police chief had ordered his transfer to a migrant reception center in Rome on March 21. However, he was later released because the small-claims court of Rome had not validated his detention.

After determining the facts, the officers charged the man with an ‘interruption of religious service’ and sanctioned him for being in an evident state of drunkenness. The police chief of Monza ordered the man’s transfer again, this time to a reception center in Potenza, to which police officers took him. He will remain there until his removal from the national territory.
