Japan: Assimilate or be an Outcast (Video)

When you move to Japan, it’s important to understand that fitting into the local culture is key. While the Japanese won’t harm you, they will not fully accept you if you don’t follow their norms. It’s like following the rules of any group you join. And if you break those rules, there are consequences.

Unfortunately, in the West, it seems like newcomers are allowed to behave however they want without consequences.

  • “If you are a guest in a country you should behave better.”
“When in Rome, do like the Romans.” When in Japan, do like the Japanese. Seems like a good policy.

My grandpa(Lt. Col, U.S.Army Air Corp) was fighting nazi in Europe, and his brother was a Navy bomber pilot(Japanese theater of war) during WWII. Uncle was shot down, wounded, and healed up. He went back to bomb the sh*t out of ’em some more. That’s war, and he had big balls.

I always got along well with Japanese people in my schools and neighborhood. Excellent students and neighbors. Quiet, keep their property up, always waved, no problems. I wish we had 40,000,000 Japanese here instead of the scumbags that illegally jump our border, commit crimes, and sponge off taxpayers!
