Kurdish Man (72) from Turkey, Seeking Asylum in Sweden, Charged with Repeatedly Raping a Horse and Assaulting Police

In a disturbing series of sexual attacks on animals involving Islamic migrants, a 72-year-old man stands accused of entering a stable near Helsingborg, Sweden, and raping horses. Identified as Öner Senanik, an asylum-seeking Kurdish man from Turkey, the man was allegedly caught in the act by authorities, as reported by the Swedish news outlet Samnytt.

The disturbing sequence of events unfolded on the evening of February 24 when the owner of the stable noticed a suspicious individual on surveillance footage inside the stable. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the man had tied a rope around the horse’s neck and raped the innocent animal. The incident was captured by a surveillance camera in the stable. However, the perpetrator had fled by the time the stable owner arrived at the scene.

Undeterred by the initial encounter with the stable owner, the asylum-seeking rapist returned the following day with a bag of carrots and had placed flower boxes outside the horse’s stall. However, he was chased away by a woman in the stable. The man apologized to the woman and fled the scene.

Despite being thwarted twice, Senanik persisted in his sexual desire for the horse. On February 28, the asylum-seeking sexual predator entered the stable once again, this time equipped with a disturbing array of items, including carrots, rope, gloves, mouthwash, and a chair. Fortunately, vigilant neighbors alerted the police upon witnessing the intrusion on surveillance cameras.

When confronted by law enforcement, Senanik brandished a knife, prompting a tense standoff. Despite commands to surrender, he resisted arrest, leading to a physical altercation with the officers. Eventually, with the assistance of her father, a plainclothes policewoman subdued the suspect.

Senanik, who sought political asylum in Sweden in 2019, claims to be fighting for Kurdish rights and asserts that he is “labeled a terrorist” in his home country of Turkey. He was reportedly sentenced to 23 years in prison and does not want to go home to serve that sentence.

In Sweden, he faces charges including gross illegal trespass, attempted gross violence against an official, gross illegal threats, and violation of the Animal Welfare Act. Prosecutors suspect that Senanik may have targeted additional horses on separate occasions.

Kristina Wik, the prosecutor handling the case, emphasized the severity of the charges, highlighting the attempted knife attack on the police as the most egregious offense. The prosecutor requested that Senanik be deported with a ban on returning to Sweden for ten years. 

The Swedish news site Expressen reports that a veterinarian will testify that the horse, following the incident, has been traumatized and would not allow the animal doctor to come close to its hindquarters.

While Senanik denies any wrongdoing, prosecutors argue that his actions constitute criminal behavior, especially considering the violence directed toward law enforcement officers. Meanwhile, Swedes worry that Öner Senanik, accused of raping horses, poses a sexual and violent threat to their community.

The case has ignited public outrage and raised questions about the country’s failed open-border immigration policies and handling of asylum seekers with criminal backgrounds.
