Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the 7th Religious Council in Ankara, delivering a speech on the state of Islamic civilization while highlighting the event’s focus on integrating artificial intelligence and digitalization into religious practices.

The council, hosted by Türkiye’s Directorate of Religious Affairs, ran from November 26–28 and explored the implications of technology, particularly artificial intelligence, on religious services, aiming to align modern advancements with spiritual values.
Historical Context
For centuries, Turkey was the seat of the Ottoman Empire, often referred to as such in the West. However, in reality, it was the Islamic Caliphate. Following World War I, the Caliphate was defeated, and the Middle East was divided under the terms of the Sykes-Picot Agreement. Modern Middle Eastern nations are largely based on that agreement.
Another critical fact often omitted from Western teachings is how the Islamic Caliphate attacked, ruled, and conquered parts of Europe—sometimes for centuries.
Spain is one of the few countries that openly celebrates its liberation from 600 years of brutal Islamic rule, during which some of the harshest forms of Sharia were imposed to subdue non-Muslims.
These historical celebrations in Spain are among the very few, and perhaps even a unique example of recognition of European resistance to Islamic invasions – a struggle almost entirely erased from collective memory today.

In the photo below, taken from a Spanish church, a statue of St. James (Santiago Matamoros), or “St. James the Muslim Killer,” can be seen. He is said to have appeared on the battlefield during Spain’s war to reconquer its land from Islamic invaders. Every year on January 2nd, the Spanish hold a parade celebrating the defeat of the Muslims in Spain, whom Italy and Spain refer to as “the Moors,” with a procession that clearly depicts Islamic and dark figures being defeated by the Catholic and Spanish armies. A couple of examples are shown below:
Below, in the latter half, they portray the Muslims being forced to leave the city. This video is quite sanitized. In some of the parades, they display platters with the heads of the Muslim invaders to Spain, though YouTube may have forced them to remove such depictions.
Rapidly forgotten European history is largely about defending Christian Europe from Islamic invasion. Charles Martel in France, Vlad Tepes in Romania, Holger Dansk in Scandinavia, and many more are all but forgotten heroes who defended against the invading jihadis of the Islamic Caliphate.
The Muslims were also infamous for their cruelty. Often, when they conquered a region, they demanded a tribute of young boys, some of whom were turned into Janissaries—non-Muslim soldiers later used to attack their former nations. In fact, Vlad Tepes and his brother Radu were themselves Janissaries. Vlad, however, escaped, became Prince of Wallachia, and used his knowledge to resist the invading Muslims for as long as he could.
Even as recently as the Pope immediately prior to Francis, Pope Benedict XVI began the process of canonizing 813 saints known as The Martyrs of Otranto. They were later made saints by Pope Francis for refusing to convert to Islam after the Siege of Otranto.
Erdoğan’s remarks about ending Western civilization honor a very old tradition in the Islamic world. Istanbul itself, for that matter, was once Constantinople, the Vatican East, and the heart and soul of Greek Christianity. The city was besieged by Muslims and conquered in 1453.
For Erdoğan to say: “The West’s Progress – Built on blood, tears, massacres, genocides and exploitation” is to adopt the left’s language. Ironically, he is describing Islamic culture and history to its very core—the same ground where millions of non-Muslims have been buried for the crime of not being Muslim.
As a NATO member, Erdoğan’s statements raise major questions about Islamic Türkiye’s alignment with Western values and its role in the alliance.

Turkey isn’t anywhere near the North Atlantic.
And it’s a HUGE mistake to allow any muslim horde run nation into any organization of cooperation between nations.
As someone who served in two different NATO units, I believe Turkey needs to have its butt kicked out of NATO today. How NATO leadership continues to turn a blind eye to these Islamic fundamentalists statements and actions is simply beyond me. And someone needs to remind him what happened the last time they tried the whole global caliphate dream-it didn’t turn out so well for them, did it?

Hmmm…curious you omit that having conquered the Nasrid Kingdom of Granada, finally freeing Spain from Muslim rule after nearly 800 years, Spain promptly expelled the jews, which, coincidentally enough, usher in a Golden Age.
Really strange you’d leave that out of your historical narrative. Then again…maybe not so strange.
Vlad Tepes was not even that successful in his fights against the Ottomans, nor really attributing much. His name is merely known in the west because he is assumed to be known as Dracula. That is the only reason why his name is known in the west.
There are lot more prominent figures in the Middle-Eastern European Region or Balkans who fought the ottomans.
For instance Sobieski, who saved Vienna in 1683, or Hunyadi, who waged war in the Balkans, often not really succeeded but providing enough damage to hinder or halt the ongoing progress and his victory at Belgrad.
Or you could refer to the greek revolutionists, the bulgarians, the croatians. Serbians, who often rebelled against the ottomans. (Ivo Andric: The bridge over Drina). And so on.
edit: this is merely just providing some additional context regarding the fights against the ottomans and islam. It has its own huge history, and works of literature. The spanish were not really fighting against the Ottomans during their reconquista. As at that time for instance another great “Caliphate” the Mameluk was still also in power. The Ottomans became the Caliphate much later than that. Also interesting fact is that the greatest european allies to the Ottomans were the French. As they did everything they could in their power to stop the Habsburgs from gaining power. As Habsburgs were the ones fighting against the turks for over 300 years. Every time they were gaining momentum, the French initiated a war in order to hinder their “reconquista”. (Also did not help when the Habsburgs managed to aquire the Spanish and other thrones, so the French felt threatened by them. The english also had that one policy in prohibbiting a major continental power’s rise, so they also assisted the Ottomans. During the 19th century it is only due to the intervention of western powers that Constantinapole was not liberated.)

If possible, however i would ask you to focus a bit on the less known persons, historical facts, as it has a higher likelihood (which is still not much) to draw the attention of folks to check upon these things.

The Mameluk empire was also based upon mostly a slave army, similar to the janissary. One thing to note they were also of turkish origin, however one should not confuse them with the current Türkiye.
These Mamluks were mostly of kichap and oguz in origin. They were also caliphs until the ottomans took it over. (Previously there was also a seldjuk-turkish invasion and the ottomans came after them. The backbone of the oguz and kipchak mameluk empire was actually broken by Napoleon. And after his loss, when they returned to egypt, they were not able to take back their power, and the Arabs became the major power in Egypt.)

Muslim expansion is a very clouded issue, and not understood. Even by the muslims involved. The new world order (NWO) working through the WEF is behind the invasion of Europe and the calculated destruction of the Caucasian race.
