An Islamic sermon delivered in British Columbia, Canada, on August 2nd this year included explicit calls for jihad, advocating for genocide against Jews, and urging violence against Christians who support the Jewish people.
According to MEMRI TV, Canadian imam Adnan Abyat, in his August 2, 2024, Friday sermon in Port Coquitlam, Vancouver, BC area, declared that Jihad is the “pinnacle of Islam” and claimed that Allah has rekindled the desire for Jihad. He cursed the Jews, accusing them of killing Hamas leader “the martyr” Ismail Haniyeh, whom he praised as a “mujahid leader,” and referenced an alleged historical attempt by Jews to poison Prophet Muhammad.
Abyat asserted that Jews only target mujahideen because they fear confronting them directly. He prayed for a curse upon the “Zionist war machine” and its Christian and atheist supporters, including the United States. This sermon was streamed live on the YouTube channel of Masjid Alhidayah – ISBC (Islamic Society of British Columbia).
The most chilling line, highlighted in the title, is a stark reminder of a theme that has long permeated Islamic sermons well before October 7, 2023.

While Canada, the US, and the UK are different nation-states, it’s hard to ignore the common meta-policies being implemented across all of them, and even more so in other Western nations. Countries like Germany, France, and even central European states such as Greece are experiencing an overwhelming influx of Muslim and African migrants, often bypassing the usual vetting processes or expectations typically placed on immigrants.
This shift is accompanied by the replacement of equality before the law with a system that grants “most-favored group” status. In Canada and elsewhere, these groups are often referred to as “vulnerable communities,” “at-risk communities,” or sometimes “marginalized,” “oppressed,” or “disadvantaged.” These government-media terms signal that these groups do not have the same legal standing as the general public—if such a concept still exists.
As Orwell famously wrote in Animal Farm to describe communism: “All animals are equal. Some animals are more equal than others.”
In practice, this creates special legal privileges for these groups, allowing them to bypass many Western laws—laws that native citizens of these Western nations are now being jailed for, sometimes for over a year, even when they technically haven’t broken any laws at all. This includes so-called hate speech or acts like running over a pride flag.
Where laws don’t apply, cancel culture steps in. Those who criticize a “protected group” can find themselves without a job, career, professional license, and all the domino effects that follow—family, mortgage, even de-banking.

Meanwhile, in the UK today, numerous people are facing over a year in prison for tweets or comments expressing concern over the erosion of their culture and people through mass migration.
Some of these comments are tantamount to blasphemy against Islam, or, to put it more plainly, they expose Islam for exactly what it is—a threat doctrine of global conquest. It’s crucial to recognize the selective enforcement of thought and speech crimes.
This video from Australia in 2017 shows the now-common tactic of associating any phrase that deviates from the approved narrative with Nazism. In this case, the phrase “It’s OK to be white” is used as an example.

As these examples illustrate, there is a growing trend in Western nations where the suppression of free speech and the selective application of laws have become tools to enforce ideological conformity. Those who challenge the narrative, particularly concerning Islam and immigration, face severe consequences, while those promoting violence against others are often left unchecked. This imbalance highlights a disturbing shift in Western societies—one that prioritizes certain groups over the rule of law and the rights of the broader public. The question remains: How long will these double standards continue before they irreparably damage the foundations of these nations?
