A Catholic girls’ school in Regensburg, Germany, is nestled in the idyllic castle park, where European noble families reside. Yet, it is precisely in this picturesque setting that the headmaster expresses concerns about the girls’ safety and sends an urgent warning to parents, advising them to ensure their children travel to school in groups. This precautionary measure follows a recent rape incident involving migrants in a nearby park during broad daylight.
The Catholic school has since sent a letter to parents addressing the safety of their daughters on their way to school. In the letter, dated January 30th and made available to Bild, Dr. Hans Lindner, headmaster of the high school and the secondary school at The St. Marien Schools, states: “Regardless of the time of day, your daughters should ideally go to school in groups and only use well-lit streets.”
Now, the left-wing headmaster finds himself in a dispute against what he deems the “misuse” of the letter by “right-wing circles” who use it as another example of the dangers faced by females in open-border Germany.
A few weeks ago, two Arab-looking men followed a young woman from the central train station after asking her for the time. Close to the St. Marien School in Regensburg’s Fürst-Anselm Park, one of the men dragged the 27-year-old into a bush and sexually assaulted her while the other kept watch nearby.
The news of the rape is most shocking not only because of the cruelty of the act but also because the men were able to abuse the young woman in the middle of the day without anyone noticing or intervening.
The nearby St. Marien School sent out a warning letter to parents on Tuesday. The school administration advises parents that girls should ideally only go to school in groups and should try to stick to well-lit streets. Darkness should “definitely be avoided.”
Because the school administration values the “safety of the route to school,” parents are asked to instruct their children to avoid the train station area and the aforementioned Fürst-Anselm Park despite the increased police presence. Furthermore, the school administration requested parents to “pick up their daughters at the end of the event” during a school ball on Wednesday. The letter acknowledges an increased police presence planned for this event on Wednesday, but access to the school ball is only granted with a pre-purchased ticket. The school principal, Hans Lindner, told Mittelbayerische that he had only published the letter “in response to the situation” and that it was purely a preventive measure and did not intend to create panic. Lindner emphasized that nothing has ever happened at the school itself in recent years. Nevertheless, the school administration is now strongly warning about the route to school due to the increased threat of migrant attacks in open borders Germany.
The school also offers self-defense courses, is under video surveillance, and has discussed the alleged rape “in a sensitive manner” in class, according to Lindner. But “nothing has ever happened, and it should stay that way,” explained the school principal. But something has indeed happened: the recent rape incident, even though it did not involve a student, was the trigger for the letter on school route safety.

The principal and the left-wing media go to great lengths to downplay migrant sexual assaults, violence, and safety threats like this, which has now become a sad part of everyday life in Germany. In September, a woman was raped at the Oerlenbach train station, and in August, a 28-year-old was raped in the castle park in Weinheim. In the same month, an 18-year-old was abused for hours by a 20-year-old in a Munich subway station.
In addition, the number of gang rapes has increased significantly. According to a government response from June 2023, there were 789 cases in 2022, and in 2021, there were “still” 659. Bild reported in November that the number of these crimes had more than doubled to 19 cases. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the number of gang rapes rose by 40 percent to a total of 246 cases. One accused man has 11 different identities; another accomplice has five.
The disturbing incidents described in this article shed light on the growing safety concerns faced by young girls and women in Germany. The tragic case of another young woman being sexually assaulted in broad daylight highlights the urgency of addressing these issues. Though necessary, the school’s precautionary measures and warnings to parents are a stark reminder of the threats posed by open borders and the need for effective solutions to ensure the safety and well-being of all citizens.
The rising statistics of sexual assaults and gang rapes demand comprehensive efforts from both law enforcement and society as a whole. While debates on immigration and border policies continue, prioritizing the protection of German citizens is long overdue.
