Sharia Britain: Conservative MP Mike Freer Resigns Amidst Islamic Intimidation and Threats To His Life (Video)

London, February 2, 2024 – Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) Mike Freer, who has represented the Finchley and Golders Green constituency in North London since 2010, announced his resignation on Thursday. This decision comes in the wake of escalating Islamic and left-wing threats and violence directed at him and his family, primarily due to his support for Israel and his vocal condemnation of antisemitism in the United Kingdom.

Freer, who has dedicated 30 years to public service, stated that he will not seek re-election as a Conservative Party candidate in the upcoming general election. His resignation follows a series of troubling incidents that have left him and his staff fearing for their safety.

The MP’s ordeal began during the Israel-Hamas conflict that erupted on October 7, 2023, when he defended Israel’s actions in response to the invasion by Hamas. This stance led to an increase in threats and intimidation directed at him.

The most alarming incident that prompted Freer’s resignation was the arson attack on his constituency office in North London in December. Disturbing photographs depicted the aftermath, with Freer revealing that he had received an email labeling him as “the kind of person who deserved to be set alight.” These incidents, along with previous threats, have deeply affected both Freer and his husband, Angelo.

In his official statement, Freer highlighted the seriousness of these threats and acts of intimidation. He mentioned several instances, including actions by jihadi groups like Muslims Against Crusades and an individual named Ali Harbi Ali. Freer had narrowly avoided a dangerous encounter with Ali in 2021 when the terrorist visited his office with a plan to kill him. Ali, who later went on to murder another MP, Sir David Amess, and plan terrorist attacks on other MPs, was eventually convicted.

Reflecting on his fortunate escape, Freer expressed that luck played a significant role in his survival. He questioned whether Ali would have attacked him had their paths crossed and doubted his chances of surviving such a frenzied assault given what happened to Sir David Amess.

To mitigate the threats, Freer and his team have been advised by the police to wear stab vests when in public with constituents. The MP also pointed out that the Israel-Palestine conflict sparked a surge in antisemitic incidents, including large, dangerous pro-Hamas/Palestinian protests in London, which further exacerbated his situation.

Freer’s resignation has garnered widespread support and sympathy from his colleagues but little action from the left-wing government or politicians. Several other MPs have also indicated their intention to step down at the next general election, scheduled for later this year.

UK politicians are not wrong to be concerned about fearing the consequences of making Muslims angry. Muslims have put the free world on notice: if you insult Muhammad, Islam, their holy books, or even fail to consider Islamic law (Sharia) in all things, they will target you.

Former Conservative minister Sir Conor Burns weighed in on the matter, describing Freer’s decision as “totally understandable” and highlighting the corrosive impact of hate and cynicism in politics. However, he failed to mention the threat of Islam.
