Trial of Allahu Akbar Shouting Muslim Who Tried to Cut Throats of 2 Women: 'If I Could Go Back, I Would Do It Better...'

A 29-year-old Muslim woman is on trial this week in Bellinzona, Switzerland, for a “Terrorist act” after trying to cut the throats of two women in Lugano on November 24, 2020. While the armed jihadi attempted to commit the murders, she shouted: “Allahu Akbar” and proclaimed her devotion to the Islamic State. At the opening of her trial on Monday, August 29, she expressed no remorse, only frustrations that her targets were not dead.

One of the two victims was seriously injured in the neck by the Muslim who stabbed her with a knife. The second, wounded in the hand, had managed to control the Muslim woman with the assistance of other people until the arrival of the police. According to the indictment, the young woman, who was 28 years old at the time of the attacks and whose name the court has protected, acted ” intentionally ” and ” without any scruples.”

During the trial, a photo of one of the victim’s neck injuries was shown, but the jihadi remained calm. “It didn’t go as deep as I thought,” she observed the photo again, then repeated, “It doesn’t affect me.“

She came to court dressed in entirely black Islamic garb. She wore a long Islamic female tunic, tights, ballerina shoes, and, at the start of the hearing, a sanitary mask (also black) and black hood-like hijab, which she agreed to remove. “ I am a Muslim,” she said, a slight smile on her face, to justify her desire to keep her black hood on, reminiscent of a KKK uniform, before complying after a few minutes of discussion with the rules of the court.

During the attack, she repeatedly shouted ” Allahu Akbar ” and “I will avenge the Prophet Muhammad “and declared, “I am here for ISIS, the jihadist group Islamic State.“ She brutally attacked her randomly selected non-Muslim victims with a knife with the aim of killing them and thus spreading terror among the population in the name of ISIS, triggering widespread media coverage and thus spreading the ideology of ISIS,” according to the Public Ministry of the Confederation (MPC, Attorney General).

The terrorist, who was already known to the police, was born to a Swiss father and a mother of Serbian origin. The assailant had converted to Islam and “Fallen in love” on social networks in 2017 with a jihadi fighter in Syria. She tried to join her lover but had been arrested at the Turkish-Syrian border and sent back to Switzerland. Once she arrived back in Switzerland, she was placed in a psychiatric institution.

The defense is trying to paint the picture of a troubled girl because she had epileptic seizures during childhood, followed by adolescence marked by anorexia. Her work history is dotted with hairdressing and sales internships. Sadly most Western governments appear not to understand Islam and its Holy books are what compel jihadis’ terrorist actions, not “mental illness.”

The Federal Criminal Court of Bellinzona is trying the woman for “repeated assassination attempts” and violation of the article of the federal law prohibiting the jihadist groups Al-Qaeda and Islamic State. In particular, she is accused of wanting to commit a “terrorist act” in the name of ISIS. A judgment is expected on September 19, 2022.
