The demographic crisis in France is a well-known issue that has been neglected for far too long. The flow of migrants won’t stop anytime soon so I think the best we can do is get a rural retreat that is self sufficient. If you can get several families to do the same with close by or with adjoining land you can rely on each other in times of hardship. You can practice your skills at the retreat and keep your day job when it gets bad matbe move a trailer there then build a cabin.
