Unveiling the Perils of Dhimmitude and Eurabia: Bat Ye'or's Urgent Call to Protect Judeo-Christian Culture in Europe (Video Interview)

“Submission under Islam is not a mere act of surrender but a conditional submission. Those who refuse to adhere to Sharia regulations, which inherently seek Islam’s conquest and victory over non-Muslims, face severe consequences.”

In a powerful interview with Tandem TV, renowned historian, and author Bat Ye’or sheds light on the concepts of “Dhimmitude and Eurabia,” urging Europe to confront the consequences of unbridled Muslim immigration and the erosion of cultural integration. With her extensive research, particularly showcased in her influential book “Eurabia,” Bat Ye’or aims to awaken Europe to the perils of the current path and emphasizes the urgent need for understanding and action.

Bat Ye’or begins by highlighting the case of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the recently re-elected president of Turkey, who has successfully dismantled the country’s secular foundations and transformed the iconic Hagia Sophia into a mosque. She points out how Erdoğan, a follower of the Muslim Brotherhood, holds ambiguous views towards Israel and the Islamized Jewish community. This disturbing trend raises concerns about the acceptance of Sharia regulations and the impact on non-Muslim citizens, especially Jews, who may feel compelled to make compromises or submit to oppressive conditions.

Dhimmitude is the state of third-class citizenship a person who is not Muslim can expect while under Islamic rule,” Bat Ye’or explains. She emphasizes that submission under Islam is not a mere act of surrender but a conditional submission. Those who refuse to adhere to Sharia regulations, which inherently seek Islam’s conquest and victory over non-Muslims, face severe consequences, including loss of life and the imposition of a daily tax called jizya. The condition of dhimmis, which has rarely been explored in-depth, demands thorough understanding, and Bat Ye’or urges scholars and policymakers to delve into its complexities.

Bat Ye’or dispels the notion that persecution was exclusive to either Christendom or the Islamic world. She emphasizes that Jews have suffered greatly in both realms, and it is difficult to quantify which has been more severe. While some places in Christendom offered safety and tolerance, such as the United States, others witnessed horrific events like the extermination of three million Jews in Poland. In the Muslim world, the dhimmi condition prevented the growth of significant Jewish communities, subjecting them to intolerable conditions and limited toleration.

Addressing the controversy surrounding her coined term “Eurabia,” Bat Ye’or explains that it refers to Europe’s submission to the Arab world’s imposition of dhimmitude. This phenomenon, she contends, results from a calculated strategy employed by the Muslim Brotherhood. Rather than an overt invasion, this approach involves subtle actions to alter the Judeo-Christian climate, foster ghettoization, and ultimately achieve dominance. Bat Ye’or clarifies that she adopted the term “Eurabia” from newspapers published by European groups identifying themselves as such, further supporting her argument.

Bat Ye’or reveals the existence of the European Coordinating Committee of Friendship Societies with the Arab World, known as Eurabia. This committee, operating at high political levels within the European Union, fostered a partnership between EU governments and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), consisting of 55 Muslim countries. Bat Ye’or asserts that the committee’s work and vision led to a shift in policy aimed at eliminating the Judeo-Christian culture, weakening the Church’s connection to Judaism, and facilitating multiculturalism through Islamic immigration. These assertions are supported by extensive textual evidence in her books.

Despite facing ostracism and the suppression of her voice, Bat Ye’or continues to be a beacon of truth. She highlights the invaluable contributions of David Littman, who fought tirelessly against the persecution of Jews by the Arab world. Bat Ye’or acknowledges the difficulties she has faced, including conference cancellations, and emphasizes that not only the Arab world but also the Christian world has hindered her message. She argues that this suppression is a continuation of the deep ties forged between Europe and the Arab-Muslim world during World War I and the alliance between Germany and the Ottoman Empire.

Bat Ye’or’s relentless pursuit of knowledge has led her to the world of dhimmitude, which encompasses both the Jewish and Christian communities. She emphasizes the need to recognize the persecution endured by Christians worldwide, defending their own culture, identity, and civilization. Observing the current state of the Arab-Muslim world, Bat Ye’or laments the disappearance of Jewish and Christian communities and the alarming Islamization of individuals who should be upholding religious respect. Many Christians have turned to Bat Ye’or to speak on their behalf, as their voices have been silenced or ignored.

Bat Ye’or’s interview serves as a resounding call to action, urging Europe to confront the realities of dhimmitude, Eurabia, and the erosion of its Judeo-Christian heritage. Her extensive research and firsthand knowledge of the historical and contemporary persecution of Jews and Christians provide invaluable insights into Europe’s challenges. By acknowledging and addressing these issues, Europe can strive to preserve its cultural diversity, religious freedoms, and societal cohesion in an ever-changing world.

  • The best solution would be for Christians to have their own country, and the real Jews their own country, also the Moslems. Then everybody stay away from each other! Then we would all get along better, if each has their own country. It will never happen, but it would solve big problems.

  • There is no such thing as “Judeo-Christian” culture. There is Jewish culture based on the Talmud and contempt for all non-Jews; and there is Christian culture based on the New Testament and universal love for all persons, with no “chosen” (self-chosen) caste.

The grim reality is that when Jews moved into North America they worked hard to undermine Christian culture. The rabbis of the continent united to find ways to combat Christianity, first by having The Lord’s Prayer banned in public schools, and then religious education banned altogether, reducing the school system to linguistic divisions… where, interestingly, in Quebec, where a lot of the flak took place over the Jewish takeover from within, the long-bearded Jews are now often seen reigning over the English-language division.

If the Jews had not worked so hard to destroy the founding cultures of Canada, which was a Christian country founded by Christians; if they had not repeatedly violated the statutory Sunday day of rest with their peddlar’s wagons and their open shops, if they had not sought here to wipe The Lord’s Day Act from the Canadian statute books, which they achieved, if they had not undermined this country at its foundations, it still might be Christian and better able to withstand the arriving Islamo-Communist Jihad.

Someone has referred to the Islamic Jihad as the “little broom” of the Jews to wipe away the Christians whom they have long detested and worked to destroy while play-acting to gain power and influence in Christian countries.
