Egyptian Muslim Terrorist Plots to Slaughter Jews in New York: America’s Immigration and National Security Failure (Video)

An 18-year-old Egyptian national with ISIS and Al Qaeda sympathies was allowed to live, study, and plot a meticulously planned mass-casualty terrorist attack in America — a glaring indictment of the U.S. immigration system, government inaction, and the media’s refusal to confront the global Islamic threat.

An 18-year-old Egyptian national and known sympathizer of ISIS and Al Qaeda was arrested this week for allegedly plotting a mass-casualty terrorist attack on Israel’s general consulate in New York City. The suspect, Abdullah Ezzeldin Taha Mohamed Hassan, is a glaring example of the failed U.S. immigration and national security policies that allow hostile, foreign-born Islamic radicals to live, study, and plot terror attacks on American soil.

According to the Washington Post, Hassan, a freshman at George Mason University in Virginia, had been known to the FBI since at least 2022 for spreading Islamic State propaganda online. Despite this, the U.S. government did not deport him. Instead, he was allowed to remain in the country, enroll in an American university, and plot a terror attack so meticulously that he selected the exact size of ball bearings for maximum carnage and planned escape flights to Africa.

Hassan described New York as a “goldmine of targets,” specifically identifying Jewish people as his intended victims. He provided detailed instructions for building a TATP suicide bomb and suggested alternate weapons, such as assault rifles and homemade explosives, to an undercover FBI agent. Hassan’s goal was unambiguous: maximum death, maximum terror, targeted at Jews.

A Media and Government That Refuse to Name the Threat

Hassan’s arrest should be a wake-up call, but instead, it exposes a deeper sickness in our national conversation: the deliberate refusal to confront the Islamic threat. The mainstream media once again downplays or ignores the clear connection between Hassan’s ideology and Islam. Instead, they sidestep, whitewash, or bury the story, treating him as an isolated “extremist.”

This refusal is not new. Time and time again, when Muslims inspired by Islam’s holy books and scriptures commit or plan acts of terror, the media avoids stating the obvious: There is a global Islamic threat that continues to endanger American and non-Muslim lives. Hassan was not a lone actor. He was fueled by the same ideology that inspired ISIS, Al Qaeda, and countless other Islamic terror groups.

Why are we allowing hostile Islamic non-Americans to attend our universities? Why are we importing danger and placing it in classrooms alongside innocent American students? The simple answer is that our leaders refuse to prioritize American safety over political correctness.

Immigration System Failure: The Government’s Complicity

Hassan was in deportation proceedings, yet he remained free to live and operate in Virginia. He attended an American university while openly praising Osama bin Laden and ISIS online. How is this possible?

The FBI’s charging documents reveal that Hassan had been under suspicion for years. He left a digital paper trail of terror propaganda, including antisemitic calls for mass violence and instructional videos on bomb-making. The government knew. They watched. And yet they failed to act.

This case exposes the broken immigration system that prioritizes delays and bureaucracy over national security. If Hassan had been deported the moment his terror ties and glorification of Islamic jihad became evident, this plot would never have come close to fruition. Instead, innocent lives were put at risk because the government refused to act decisively against hostile foreign nationals.

The Danger of Islam on American Campuses

The case also highlights a disturbing trend: America’s universities are becoming safe havens for dangerous left-wing and Islamic terror. Hassan, an information technology major, used his skills to access the dark web, hide his online activity, and further his terror plans. How many more foreign-born students with terror sympathies are we allowing into these institutions?

Universities like George Mason have increasingly embraced radical anti-Israel rhetoric, creating environments where hostile ideologies flourish. This toxic atmosphere, combined with the government’s leniency, is a recipe for disaster.

A National Security Priority Ignored

New York Governor Kathy Hochul thanked the FBI for stopping this “cowardly act of antisemitic terror.” However, Hochul and others refuse to say that this act should have been prevented years ago or that this act was motivated by Islamic Jew hatred. Hassan’s arrest is not a success story but evidence of systemic failure.

How many more warnings does America need? From 9/11 to the Boston Marathon bombings to countless thwarted plots, the Islamic threat remains real. It is not theoretical, it is not isolated, and it is not “extremism without roots.” The Islamic “religion” that inspired Hassan to target Jewish lives exists, and it continues to thrive among hostile non-Americans allowed to live, study, and plot within our borders.

Stop the Delays, Deport the Threats

Hassan’s deportation case will be delayed as his criminal trial proceeds. He should have been deported immediately when his terror ties first surfaced in 2022. If convicted, Hassan will be given the luxury of serving a prison sentence here — a sentence funded by American taxpayers — before deportation is even considered.

The government’s failure to act decisively exposes a dangerous priority shift: Islamic immigrants over national security, bureaucracy over American lives. How many more Islamic terrorists must we allow to exploit our broken immigration system and walk freely among us before we draw the line?

The solution is clear and urgent: Non-Americans with any ties to Islamic terror must be swiftly and permanently deported. Universities must cease admitting foreign students from regions rife with hostile anti-American ideologies until thorough vetting can be guaranteed. And the media must stop lying to the public about the global Islamic threat that continues to claim innocent lives.

Hassan’s arrest was not a victory; it was a close call. Next time, we may not be so fortunate. America cannot afford delays, excuses, or blindness any longer.

Our borders, our classrooms, and our lives depend on it.
