An 18-year-old male was arrested on October 30, 2019 following the vandalism at the Breuil cemetery in Cognac, France. An investigation for “deliberate degradation of private property” has been opened. Over a hundred tombs were destroyed, crosses, crucifixes, angels were smashed and the Virgin Mary desecrated during the Catholic holiday, All Saints’ Day.
Police have released very little information on the unemployed “young person” living with his parents that was taken into custody. The little available information provides that he admits to the destruction, describes himself as “worshiper of Satan,” and “voices told him to do certain things”.
The suspect claimed to be a Satanist and to hate all religions, especially the Catholic religion. The almost 19 year-old man, however, did not target any other religious groups other than Christians on a holy day.
France Bleu, a regional network of radio stations in France, specifies that the criminal did not touch “the military square, nor the Muslim square and the square of indigents.”
Cognac’s radical socialist mayor, Michel Gourinchas, said he hopes the incident was nothing more than an act of gratuitous and foolish vandalism without anti-Christian motivation.
“It is obviously the desire to break things, but it is the police investigation that will determine the nature of the faithless, lawless individuals who come to desecrate objects in a cemetery. I hope there is no political or religious connotation”
A psychiatric evaluation was ordered to determine the degree of criminal responsibility of the unidentified suspect.
In virtually every instance of jihad attacks in France, politicians & media hide the identity of the attackers. In rare instances when the identity of an attacked is leaked, the suspect is presented as possibly suffering from mental health issues.
Anti-Christian desecration has been on the rise in France, although state officials have been reluctant to acknowledge the religious nature of the attacks due to fears of being labeled, “far right,” “racist,” “Islamophobic”, fined or arrested by the French government.
France has welcomed a massive Islamic migration population into its country who believe according to the Qur’an 98:6 that Christians are among “the most vile of created beings”. Are police or the local politicians going to investigate the suspect’s beliefs?

Obviously imbeciles came here last night and broke crosses, crucifixes, on a significant number of tombs. It’s a very sensitive period for residents, since it’s a time when they visit the graves of parents, grandparents and friends to bring flowers to the tombs, and so it’s a total shock, but it’s especially a blow to the morale of those being inflicted with this.
