Iranian Women Burn Their Hijabs, While the EU Globalists Demand We 'Respect and Celebrate' the Sharia Coverings

While women in Iran fight for their freedoms and lives, the European Union has repeatedly encouraged European women to submit to Islam and Sharia.

On September 13, in Tehran, Iran, the state’s Islamic Morality Police took Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Kurdish woman, into custody for incorrectly tying her hijab. Eyewitnesses report they saw the young woman beaten with a baton as she was shoved into a van by authorities. Three days later, she was dead.

The police announced that Amini, a young, vibrant woman, died of a heart attack; her family reports that she was in perfect health. Her death caused mass protests across Tehran and in the Kurdish cities. Women led the demonstrations, pulled off, and then ripped up or burned their Sharia-commanded hijabs, and many cut off their hair.

Under Islamic Sharia law, the hijab is an expression of the suppression and subjugation of women and is used as a tool to persecute women by their male counterparts.

Security forces responded to the protests by firing at crowds with birdshot and metal pellets, deploying tear gas and water cannons.

As of September 28, over seventy-five people have died, and hundreds of protesters have been wounded. Unfortunately, no one can know for sure, as the government controls the flow of information.

One of the protesters killed by Iranian security forces was a 23-year-old woman, Hadis Najafi. The young woman was shot six times by authorities after tying her unscarved hair back and boldly stepping into the middle of a protest in Karaj.

European Union Encourages Veiling Women

While women in Iran fight for their freedoms and lives, the European Union has repeatedly encouraged European women to submit to Islam and Sharia.

Shamefully, in 2021, The Council of Europe released images celebrating and encouraging the controversial Islamic head coverings.

A slogan on one advert read: “Beauty is in diversity as freedom is in hijab.” However, despite what the Globalists try to sell Europeans, it’s when women take their veil off that they become free, not the other way around.

For years, women in Iran have been arrested, beaten, and imprisoned for refusing to wear the mandatory headscarf and even for protesting its use. So the fact that Muslim women in Iran go to such dangerous lengths, risking arrest and even death, to take a stand against their own religion’s oppression is a significant act that leftists repeatedly ignore.

As we have been told repeatedly by women who have escaped Iran, Hijab does not represent freedom; it symbolizes women’s oppression. For many secular and former Muslim women, the hijab serves as a daily physical reminder that they, women, are second-class citizens in the eyes of Islam.

At the same time, many in the West see the coverings in non-Islamic countries as the women’s commitment to Sharia. As the Islamic scholar Dr. Bill Warner explains, “most people see the hijab as religious or cultural, but the hijab is a symbol of the Sharia and has a very political meaning.” Thus, the hijab in the West is not about modesty or fashion but a hate symbol and a commitment to Islamic Law (Sharia).

The European Union’s embracement and celebration of Islamic headwear is endorsing the first step of an extremist ideology that leads to and condones honor killings, female genital mutilation (FGM), and the oppression of women.
