French media site Fdesouche reports that as of March 24, 2023 four out or eight of their country’s top best-selling children’s books on Amazon are Islamic:
In the Best-selling “new” children’s books section on Amazon France is also well stocked with books related to Islam, with three books out of 6 are among the best sellers.
France is the main Islamic country in Europe, with 8.8% of its population now being Muslim. Pew Research Center predicts the Muslim population would rise to 8.6 million or 12.7 percent of the country in 2050. According to Gatestone, Islam is the second-largest religion in France but comes first if one counts active practitioners.
