A video circulating online depicts a Muslim prayer leader (Imam) participating in a German school enrollment ceremony. Apollo News has reconstructed the incident.
… It sounds like Cairo, Fallujah, or Istanbul – but it’s actually happening in North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). A video is currently making the rounds online, showing a school enrollment ceremony at a comprehensive school in Dortmund. During the ceremony in the auditorium, an Imam recites an Islamic prayer. It’s said to be a “first-ever interreligious school enrollment service.”
Open content directly. Apollo News traced the source of the video and the time of recording. The clip indeed shows a school enrollment celebration in Dortmund on August 7th. Apollo News has confirmed the authenticity of the video. “The video does not fully reflect the course of the event,” explains a spokesperson from the Arnsberg District Government in response to an inquiry. The school invited representatives from major Christian denominations and an Imam to the enrollment ceremony. It is explained that “60 percent of the students” are Muslims. Additionally, the prayer was translated into German for all attendees, which is not evident in the video.
On its website, the school describes itself as a place where “children and adolescents of different cultural backgrounds, varying abilities, and capabilities learn successfully with and from each other, learning to independently shape their lives in a democratic society.” The school has been engaged “for decades in the areas of human rights education, democracy education, intercultural learning, environmental education, and global learning.” In regional reporting, the school is associated with terms like “colorful diversity.”
A Rabbi is not seen in the “intercultural” ceremony. Instead, an Imam is present, with questionable background.
The Imam in the video is the head of a mosque belonging to the state-affiliated Turkish mosque association DITIB in the small town of Altena, North Rhine-Westphalia. In the local press, he is introduced as a German who also speaks German. The native of Krefeld studied Islamic theology in Ankara.DITIB has been criticized for years for its blurred boundaries with radical Islam within the organization. In the past, DITIB imams prayed, among other things, for the victory of Turkish troops and Islamist militias during their invasion of Syria. Mosques affiliated with the association were also involved in espionage against opponents of the Erdogan regime.

The Turkish Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) is an umbrella organization controlling over 900 mosques in Germany. DITIB is nothing more than an arm of the Turkish state. The DITIB-controlled mosques comprise the majority of those blasting the Adhan across Germany.
The DITIB charter states it is “linked to the Turkish government’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).” The Diyanet answers directly to Erdoğan, employs imams, writes sermons, and issues fatwas. In addition, they set the theological guidelines for all of the messages preached in their German mosques.
The Diyanet sends Turkish imams to DITIB mosques to influence their congregants to not assimilate into Europe and push Erdoğan’s agenda. While in Cologne, Germany, Erdoğan himself urged Turkish immigrants not to assimilate and called the assimilation of migrants in Europe “a crime against humanity.” Erdoğan’s DITIB imams have been caught reporting dissidents to Turkey’s Embassy in Germany.
Some two-thirds of Germany’s 5.6 million Muslims are of Turkish origin, representing the largest Turkish community outside Turkey and Germany’s largest immigrant group.
Just as recently as 2018, while in Cologne, Erdoğan again urged Turks not to assimilate. The Turkish Islamic leader called the assimilation of migrants in Europe “a crime against humanity.” Erdoğan wants his soldiers to remain part of Turkey and the Ummah, the global Muslim community.

In 2017, the German media outlet ARD exposed the DITIB mosques and their troubling influence within Germany, which revealed major fifth-column activities. In addition, they uncovered hateful preaching against the West, Jews, Christians, and anti-assimilation sentiments.

I can only think that Germany is harming itself in an effort to do penance for WWI and WWII. Now native German children who had absolutely nothing to do with the wars must suffer.
