According to Harris, the consequence was a drastic increase in electricity rates.

The City of Ottawa’s plan to introduce 710 industrial wind turbines and 36 square kilometers of solar panels sparks Harris’s skepticism. He highlights the impracticality of relying on solar power in the wintertime and the potential health issues associated with wind turbines. Additionally, the reliance on lithium batteries raises concerns about their safety and environmental impact.

When listening to climate hysterics, Harris recommends checking off often repeated hyperbolic phrases on your scorecard and yelling BINGO when you hear them all. Short Report:
I guess there was a story recently where the climate protesters were gluing themselves in the road, and some pissed off motorist go out of his car and shot them. Probably not a good idea, but you can see how irritated people get when just trying to get to their job, and get jammed up by this foolishness. It would be funny if some pissed off motorist got out and smacked them a few times, then crazy glued their hands to their ass.
Solar is useful for offgrid ranches. I use solar to power the ranch. It is not inexpensive, but there is no alternative here. I use a small wind turbine as an auxilary power source to the well-pump. It is annoying when wind is high.
As far as powering a city, wind and solar are clownhead solutions and boondoggles. Great way to scam money from taxpayers. Green solutions are almost all asinine. Coal and nuclear power for cities is best.
You hear the reports. The green imbeciles need to use diesel generators for power to the EV charging stations for the pussy prius drivers. Car companies have lost billions of dollars implementing these lame cars into their product lines too.
