She assumed the role of Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration in Alexander De Croo’s open borders government on June 28, 2022.

In his powerful Parliamentary speech, Vandendriessche emphasized that the EU’s migration pact falsely claims to tackle illegal migration. He stated, ‘With the EU migration pact, they claim to address illegal migration. This is an absolute lie. There is no upper limit on the number of asylum seekers, and there is no mechanism to deport fraudulent asylum seekers. Therefore, the asylum chaos will continue.’

True Intent of the Migration Pact

Vandendriessche went on to reveal the underlying purpose of the EU migration pact, citing a statement from controversial European Commissioner Ylva Johansson. She openly admitted, ‘There are too few European births, and she aims to replace them by importing 4.5 million non-Europeans annually. Why should Vandendriessche and the Vlaams Belang party have to respect the flooding of Belgium and most of Europe with illegal migrants who have often shown little interest in integration, work, or respect for the laws and customs? MP Herman De Croo revealed that ’78 percent of Antwerp’s children aged 1 to 6 are foreigners.’ This transformation is a major concern, and journalist Fawzia Zouari, writing in the newspaper Jeune Afrique, warns that ‘Belgium will become Arab,’ emphasizing the gravity of the situation.

According to Statbel, in 2020, the most popular names for male babies in over a dozen municipalities throughout Brussels were Islamic names, specifically Mohamed, Mohammed, and Ahmed.

Between 2000 and 2010, Belgium welcomed more than a million migrants into a population of eleven million, significantly reshaping Belgian society. Alain Destexhe, an honorary Senator in Belgium and former Secretary General of Doctors Without Borders described this as a demographic tsunami.

According to Statbel, the country’s statistical office, one-third of Belgium’s population is now of foreign origin, with a significant number being of Moroccan descent. In Brussels, native Belgians are already in the minority, making up nearly 80% of the population of foreign origin.

Belgium’s open borders policies have led to severe consequences, including the country becoming a breeding ground for terrorism. Gerolf Annemans, a seasoned European Parliament member for Vlaams Belang, states that a parliament member is always allowed to say what they want in parliament. ‘It’s absurd to attack someone for what they say in parliament.’

Annemans also points out that Vlaams Belang uses the term ‘replacement’ differently than the Nazis did at the time. ‘They used it as a positive term: they wanted a replacement and organized it.’

‘We use that term to make it clear that it is about replacement, but in a different way than people attribute to us,’ Annemans said. ‘We use it as a negative term and fight against what we call ‘replacement,’ which the European Union is currently organizing everywhere in Europe.’
