Warning: How Long Before Muslims Win Their Fight To Have an Islamic Political Party in the UK (Video) 

In the wake of the recent rejection of the proposed “Party of Islam” by the UK’s Electoral Commission, concerns have escalated regarding the potential emergence of such a dangerous political party and its implications for the country’s social and political landscape. The rejection came as the commission cited inadequacies in the proposed constitution and organizational structure of the party and discrepancies in its financial scheme, failing to meet the stringent requirements set forth in electoral law.

The Party of Islam’s application, submitted shortly after the Islamic terrorist attack by Hamas in Israel on October 7, outlined its mission to provide a voice for minority communities within Great Britain. However, despite its proclaimed objectives, many feel the party wants to turn the country into an Islamic State.

Notably, this is not the first instance of an Islamic political entity seeking recognition in the UK. The Islamic Party of Britain, established in 1989, claimed the distinction of being the country’s first national Islamic political organization. However, its controversial Sharia stances on issues such as homosexuality led to its dissolution in 2006. , The party argued that homosexuality needed treatment, was not to be tolerated, and that homosexuals should be put to death for a “public display of lewdness.”

Drawing parallels, Belgium’s ISLAM party has similarly advocated for the introduction of Sharia law, albeit with limited success since its inception in 2012. The party’s platform centered on the rights of Muslims, and their leaders openly admitted they wanted to turn the country into an Islamic State. However, they called it an “Islamist democracy” and set a target date for 2030.

“Our goal is a 100% Islamic State,” stated the party’s founder, Redouane Ahrouch. “By establishing Sharia law, we want to follow the way of the prophet and the Quran,” he adds.

In April 2018, a news presenter talked to a leader of the party about Redouane Ahrouch, the sharia-adherent party co-founder whose treatment of women caused controversy.

Ahrouch had appeared on a Belgian television channel for a political debate but refused to make eye contact with a female journalist. The leader was given a suspended six-month jail term for gender discrimination.
