Belgian police have arrested eight Muslims over an alleged plot to commit Islamic terror.
According to France24, the statement said that raids were conducted late Monday on homes in the capital of Brussels, the port city of Antwerp, and the border town of Eupen. Those arrested “were very young radicalized people” suspected of joining a jihadist movement.
The prosecutor’s statement cited two inquiries, one led by federal police in Brussels and the other by an investigating magistrate in Antwerp.
Both led to house raids on Monday, and the statement said: “There are links between the two files, but further research will have to show to what extent the two groups were intertwined.”
The Antwerp inquiry led to five arrests, including one in Eupen, near the German border, and three in Brussels,
The statement said at least five detained people were suspected of planning to “commit a terrorist attack in Belgium.”
In both cases, the suspects have been detained but not yet charged.
Sources spoke of more than one possible attack, but the statement said the eventual target or targets had not yet been determined.
Both inquiries involved a house search in Molenbeek, an Islamized inner-city Brussels district with a large Muslim migrant population that has been where the majority of terrorists in Europe have originated from.

Belgium’s Population Replacement

In “politically correct” terms, it is called “diversity,” but the more accurate word is “colonization.” In Belgium’s capital, Brussels, nearly 80% of the population is of foreign origin.
Belgium has become a terrorist breeding ground; the country has the highest per-capita rate of foreign fighters of any Western European country. Left-wing media have even described the small country as “Europe’s terror hotbed.”
This past November, a Brussels man was charged with terrorism offenses over the stabbing to the death of a police officer. Between 2016 and 2018, Belgium faced a wave of deadly attacks by Muslims.
The trial of nine Muslims accused of taking part in the March 2016 Islamic suicide bombings that killed 32 people is currently underway in Brussels.
