In a surprising twist within the Dutch political arena, the recent uproar surrounding conservative politician Thierry Baudet‘s remarks has shed light on the complex dynamics of political discourse and lack of transparency. While Baudet’s comments may not have been inherently controversial, the vehement response from the left-wing Cabinet has raised questions about the willingness to engage in open dialogue and scrutiny.
Baudet’s Bold Assertions
Thierry Baudet, the leader of the populist Right party Forum for Democracy in The Netherlands, made headlines during the General Political Considerations of 2022 when he delivered a speech delving into Marxism’s lasting influence, particularly “cultural Marxism,” within Western societies. In his remarks, Baudet boldly questioned the presence of Marxist ideologies within institutions such as universities, trade unions, media, and intelligence agencies, even beyond the Cold War era.
The St. Anthony’s College Connection
One facet of Baudet’s address that garnered attention was his mention of St. Anthony’s College in Oxford, where Minister of Finance Sigrid Kaag had pursued an MPhil degree. Baudet insinuated potential connections between the college and Western secret services, implying that it might be symbolic of a broader entanglement between academic institutions and intelligence agencies.
A Controversial Response
However, the actual controversy in this incident arose not from Baudet’s remarks but from the left-wing Cabinet’s response to them. The Cabinet’s abrupt walkout during the parliamentary session has ignited a fierce debate about the acceptance of dissenting voices and the readiness to engage in constructive dialogue.
Critics argue that the Cabinet’s actions were an attempt to stifle open debate and hinder the scrutiny of their policies and ideologies. It has been suggested that Baudet’s speech merely touched upon topics that some may have preferred to remain unexamined.
The Vital Role of Open Debate
In a functioning democracy, diverse opinions and perspectives should be welcomed as essential components of a vibrant political discourse. Baudet’s speech, while provocative, raised critical questions about the influence of ideologies within educational and intelligence institutions, an issue worthy of public examination.
A Call for Transparency and Openness
The controversy stemming from Thierry Baudet’s remarks serves as a stark reminder of the paramount importance of transparency and open debate within a democracy. It underscores the need for all political ideologies to engage in constructive dialogue and scrutiny of policies, fostering a commitment to free expression and open discourse in politics that should be a cornerstone of good governance. The events surrounding this incident provide a crucial opportunity for those who value these principles to reaffirm their dedication to them.
Same for American schools. Starting with that socialist sh*tbag, Woodrow Wilson. Of course, marxist prog-commies don’t like the truth. Nothing new under the sun.
In the late 1970s, I was one of the first two dozen students to attend Concordia University’s new Liberal Arts College. Ostensibly, the former Sir George Williams University was to host a McGill-level educational experience. Whatever that is. In reality, a Marxist-Freudian worldview was imposed, using, among other things, Marxist analytic, without mentioning that this was the method being taught.
I was embarrassed and equally stunned when my anthropology professor in a parallel program congratulated me in front of an auditorium of 200 other students for having used “Marxist analytic” in my first class paper. I had no idea what he was talking about. I rushed back to the Liberal Arts building where the Dean met my outrage with amusement. It was then that I first became aware that there had to be more than one “intellectual” method of thinking about the world, but whatever these were, they were not named or taught to us.
The Liberal Arts College then (don’t know what it is now) refused to allow discussion of any scholar deemed “anti-semitic” by the ruling professors, who were mostly Jewish. So, out with the great C. G. Jung and his Mysterium Coniunctionis, etc., etc. We were confined to Freud. Perhaps that should be spelled Fraud.
After a year of Marxist-Zionist brainwashing, I did not have the financial means to stay, which I consider fortunate, since I was then free to continue my reading and develop my own insights, as I had always done before I enrolled. Perhaps this anecdote will serve to confirm Thierry Baudet’s claim that “generations” (plural) have been taught by Marxists.
Yep, they peddled Freud back then. Of course, he was a coke sniffing pedosatanist. Alinsky was peddled too. He was a homo-pedosatanist. Even dedicated his Rules for Radicals to lucifer.
