In 2021, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mandated Covid “vaccines” for federal workers and those working under federal regulation as a condition of employment retention. As a result, countless Canadians have been coerced into taking experimental gene-therapy injections to keep their jobs or be forced out of their profession.
One of the people deeply affected by Trudeau’s unconstitutional and freedom-crushing mandates is Veteran and hero James Topp. The 28-year member of the Canadian Armed Forces was skeptical of having to take an experimental mRNA injection to keep his job in the Federal Canadian Government. So when Topp, who served in Afghanistan, refused to take part in the government’s experimental medical procedure, he was put on leave without pay.
As a consequence of being unable to work at his Federal job and being targeted by the government he selflessly served for most of his life, he struggled with what to do next. However, once Topp, like many other Canadians, witnessed the Trucker Freedom Convoy in Ottawa, he was inspired to take action and help others suffering like himself:
“I wasn’t in Ottawa but I saw what was happening there,” Topp said. “I was inspired by the protests and the way the Canadian people came together. I was proud of the fact that veterans went in there to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the protestors and I was outraged how they were treated when the (Emergencies Act) was adapted.”
Topp decided to walk 4,293 KM (2667.547 Miles) across Canada from British Columbia to Ottawa, Ontario, in a peaceful demonstration against the government’s unconstitutional mandates infringing upon citizens’ freedoms. Topp has marched across Canada’s vast wilderness through three seasons in all types of terrain, weather, and conditions. See the following video of Topp and his team on Days 53 crossing through the prairies in Saskatchewan:
Topp began his 130-day march on February 20, 2022, at Terry Fox Statue in Vancouver. He is expected to arrive at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa on June 30. at 6 pm.
RAIR Foundation USA had the honor and privilege of interviewing Topp as he was passing through Boom Creek, Ontario, on his way to Ottawa:
In addition to Topp’s anticipated arrival, freedom movement organizers are also planning Canada Day celebrations in the nation’s capital. Sadly, in response to the scheduled peaceful freedom events, the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) stated that it would not allow a second Freedom Convoy situation.
Topp, who has been marching for over 110 days, is stepping forward to speak on behalf of Canadians suffering physically, mentally, and financially due to the imposition of an experimental medical procedure. He hopes his monumental journey will produce some powerful results, and the movement along the way is providing new hope for Canadians across the Country.
The public support has been overwhelming for Topp and his mission. Crowds of adults, children, and federal employees have cheered him along the way. So many people have walked with him for miles a day and offered warm meals, supplies, fuel cards, and extended accommodation nightly. Meanwhile, the legacy media has been close to silent about his extraordinary and inspiring journey.
Topp’s objectives
A special website called CanadaMarches.ca has been set up for Topp and people across the wishing to help and to keep up with his movements. According to the website, the march’s three objectives are:
1. James is protesting federal government mandates that require, as a condition for employment or continued employment, vaccination, testing, quarantine, and/or isolation;
2. James has stepped forward to speak on behalf of those personnel employed by the federal government or otherwise who have been denied access to employment and services, who have lost income, and have suffered from damaged relationships due to the imposition of a medical procedure;
3. James has also stepped forward to speak on behalf of those who have, through the introduction of false constructs surrounding choices and consequences, been pressured into taking part in medical procedures that they would not otherwise have accepted;
Furthermore, Topp and his team aim to serve Canadians and ensure their government upholds versus continue to violate the laws that support Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms
Targeted by the Department of Defence
A week before Topp left on his march across Canada, he went public with his story wearing his Canadian Armed Forces uniform and sharing his own account of being released from the Armed Forces. He also spoke out about the government’s overreach during the pandemic and his upcoming journey in protest of the coercive public health measures. Topp had also previously worn his uniform during a freedom rally.
In May, Topp was charged by the Department of National Defence (DND) for publicly criticizing the federal vaccine requirements while in uniform. See the following video that he is being charged for:
The DND reports that Topp faces two charges of conduct to the prejudice of good order and discipline for criticizing vaccine requirements for military personnel and other federal employees.
Defense Department spokeswoman Jessica Lamirande says a second Armed Forces member charged with the same offense received a $500 fine after being found guilty.
Elected Leaders
Through his team, ‘Canada Marches,‘ Topp has written letters and emails to all 338 members of Parliament in the House of Commons and asked to meet with them. As a result, Topp will be meeting with 25 Members of Parliament on June 22 to discuss repealing the Covid mandates. Currently, Topp only faces suspension.
While the government said unvaccinated federally-regulated employees can now return to work as of June 20, Topp wants to meet with MPs to ensure that the government’s capricious mandates can be reinstated ever again.

At a recent press conference, Canadian Ministers claimed that all of a sudden, the science suggests the harsh and discriminatory rules could be eased, at least for now. However, they were ominously suspended rather than scrapping the mandates altogether. This decision to suspend the mandates leaves the possibility that they could be brought back in the future if a new variant is discovered.
From the beginning of his march, Topp has encouraged supporters to write to Members of Parliament to request they meet with him in Ottawa on June 22. Social media postings show thousands of letters stating his objective have already been mailed.

The items on the meeting’s agenda include what Topp referred to as the 3+1 R’s – 1. Repeal 2. Reinstatement 3. Restitution + Repair. James is also bringing Canadian stories shared with him to this discussion with the MP’s, giving a voice to those who feel their government isn’t hearing them. Topp has interacted with thousands along his journey, hearing their stories about the toil and persecution of the current Canadian government.
While Topp called his march a success in raising awareness and gaining the attention of MPs, he said the outcomes of his talks would determine the future of his mission. Furthermore, Topp wants to discuss the current disenfranchisement of Canadians:
I want to bring to the members of parliament attention is this fact, we’re not in a good place, if this is something that is boiling underneath the surface, especially with other circumstances that we have at play in Canadian society right now, such as the fact that, gas is a significantly high in price. We have blossoming public and private debt, and inflation.
And what we don’t need is a sizeable chunk of the population (who are) very, very unhappy. So I want to bring that to the attention of our members of parliament. Because I’ve seen this at play. I spent 28 years in the armed forces. I’ve been to the Balkans, I’ve been to the Middle East, and Afghanistan. So I don’t want everything our veterans have worked for being shaken apart.
A live stream of the Government Representatives who have agreed to meet with James Topp and the Canada Marches Team can be seen in the following video on June 22:
‘Engage in politics or some type of activism’
Topp encourages Canadian suffering under the government measures to stay strong, find the courage and engage in politics or peaceful activism. Topp believes when individuals stop paying attention to politics and their government’s actions, they slowly lose their rights and freedoms:
It’s not easy. I’m not going to sit there and say don’t be afraid because the definitely something that we have to live with. We have to live with our fear and work with it and through it, as opposed to pretending it doesn’t exist.
So what I would say to them is start small. Find a way to express yourself and build your courage up in small steps. I’d become engaged in society. Unfortunately what I’m seeing is a lot of folks who want to leave the country or they want to go live in the woods. Like I said, they’re disenfranchised.
And what I would say to them is if you want to keep this country free, and you know, have it become fruitful under the conditions that it was built on, then we need to engage in, in, politics or in some kind of activism.
I mean, peaceful and law abiding, of course. Because this is what I think has happened over the years that folks have got to this point where, especially in this country, they didn’t have, their voices aren’t heard, their voice don’t matter. They are not interested in who’s running for the leadership of their own country. And that’s why we are in this position.
So it’s important that they educate themselves on processes, they can be effective. And you know, it can start at a very low level, like I mean, you know, go and run for student council and go and be on school boards or, you know, get involved in municipal politics.
Action Alert: How you can help
In the meantime, Topp is deeply thankful to all the people worldwide who continue to support him – including his team behind the scenes- and those who encouraged him along the way.
A special website has been set up for anyone wishing to help Topp along his journey. The site also allows people to follow his march and keep up to date with the latest announcement. Along with the website, they have several social media sites:
