A young police officer in Sweden sparked controversy after expressing solidarity with the communist-created Black Lives Matter protesters. On June 2, 2020, hard left activists gathered in Sweden’s three largest cities, Stockholm, Malmö and Gothenburg.
Instead of the 50 people for whom a permit was granted in Stockholm, “Black Lives Matter” marxists gathered one thousand people, violating the country’s current coronavirus restrictions.
Swedish police assistant Lisa Simonsson disobeyed her commander’s orders to dissolve the illegal race-centered BLM demonstration amid the current pandemic. Instead, the 23-year-old police assistant kneeled before BLM, and raised her fist in solidarity with the protesters. The commonly seen clenched fist in the air is a symbol long associated with the Marxist movements responsible for the recent riots, looting, abuse and murders in America and spreading across the world.
Furthermore, Simonsson held a sign with the message, “White silence is violence”. With her service weapon dangling in the holster, she hugged several protesters crying. Ironically, shortly after participating in the radical left demonstration, her police car was attacked and stoned:
At the same rally, Marxists chanted “Fuck SD” referring to the Conservative leaning Swedish Democrat (SD) Party. The Police officers submission and crowd’s hateful chants toward the Swedish Democrat Party provoked strong reactions.
MEP Charlie Weimers, a member of the Sweden Democrats slammed the officer for “kneeling before a mob” versus standing up and defending all law-abiding citizens:
“I am thinking about this police officer, who should protect all Swedes regardless of their skin color. Endorses a sign which is directed against Whites! Obviously heedless of the fact that there is a reason why Lady Justice is blindfolded! What happened to ‘All are equal before the law?!’ Shouldn’t the police endorse this principle?!

Swedish news site Samhällsnytt reported that Simonsson studied to become a police officer at the country’s new police education program at left-wing Södertörn University. Lisa’s police education at the University focused on mainly issues such as “gender, class and ethnicity”. A local newspaper Södra Sidan , also reported that police students learned about migration and diversity.
Simonsson graduated in November 2019 and has since worked as a police assistant at the Stockholm Police Department.
Simonsson was very active online during her police training on both her blog and Instagram account. She often posted selfies and discussed her training while studying to become a police officer. In one particular post, Simonsson complained about her police weapons training lesson stating this is “something I have had a hard time with”:
In the aftermath of Simonson’s actions, the Parliamentary Ombudsman received over 50 complaints regarding her kneeling, reports Social News. The Parliamentary Ombudsmen are appointed by the Swedish Parliament to ensure that public authorities and their staff comply with the laws and other statutes governing their actions.
The Stockholm Police Department has yet to issue a statement about the incident or whether Officer Simonsson has faced any disciplinary measures for disobeying commanding officers orders. Will Simonsson be allowed to continue working at Marxist demonstrations in the future? Furthermore, will police receive educational training on the nature of these dangerous protests and the radicals behind them?
When Samhällsnytt reached out to Lisa Simonsson for comment, she refused to answer their questions and referred them to the police press center, after which she hung up.
